Job Description

Remote Management & Consulting roles on HireSkys span a wide range of skills and seniority levels. Browse similar openings below to compare employers, requirements, and work arrangements before you apply.

Future Works is a US-focused, AI-native professional services firm building operational AI and data systems. Their mission is to optimize resources, increase sustainability, and resilience by collapsing timelines for operational transformation in industries like energy, real estate, and data. They are a team of 'Time Benders' focused on mastering velocity through flawless, AI-powered systems.

The role of Senior Business Architect involves leading operations strategy and business transformation for a major enterprise client in healthcare and consumer goods. You will own the end-to-end business discovery, including facilitating executive workshops, decomposing complex value chains, identifying root causes of operational inefficiency, and translating findings into structured requirements for technical architecture and AI-powered solutions.

This position sits at the intersection of management consulting and AI-enabled transformation. You will not build the technology but shape what it needs to do and why, bridging the gap between operational reality and the systems that will transform it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Strategy & Value Chain Analysis: Lead the decomposition of complex, cross-functional business processes (supply chain, logistics, procurement, distribution) to expose structural inefficiencies, wrong-node allocation, mode-mix issues, and escalation drivers.
  • Client Discovery & Stakeholder Engagement: Independently facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with senior client stakeholders. Build trusted advisor relationships and drive difficult conversations with confidence.
  • Requirements Translation: Convert business findings into clear, actionable requirements for Solutions Architects and Data Engineers, ensuring operational constraints and business logic are accurately reflected in technical blueprints.
  • Work Stream Leadership: Own and independently drive one or more delivery lanes end-to-end: planning, client communication, deliverable production, risk escalation, and progress reporting, without requiring day-to-day direction.
  • As-Is / To-Be Architecture: Collaborate with Solutions Architects to define current-state and target-state process and system architectures, applying structured analytical frameworks (Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis, hypothesis-driven problem solving) to validate transformation opportunities.
  • Deliverable Ownership: Produce enterprise-grade analytical deliverables (process maps, value stream analyses, opportunity assessments, business cases, use case definitions) that drive client decision-making and investment.
  • Team Enablement: Mentor and support junior Business Analysts and consultants, helping them develop the skills to independently run sessions, produce deliverables, and manage client interactions.

What We're Looking For:

Required Skills and Experience:

You need 6+ years of management consulting experience at a Big Four, tier-two, or leading boutique firm, with a track record of leading operations strategy, business transformation, or value chain reinvention engagements. Ideally at the Senior Manager or Director level.

Independent Client Leadership: Demonstrated ability to independently own executive-level client relationships, facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders, and drive conversations that move programs forward without senior oversight.

Lean Six Sigma & Process Expertise: Strong foundation in structured problem-solving methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis, value stream mapping). Black Belt certification or equivalent practical depth is strongly preferred.

Cross-Industry Versatility: Experience across multiple industries and geographies at a senior level. Supply chain, logistics, energy, or healthcare experience is a strong plus, but we value the ability to ramp quickly in unfamiliar domains and cross-pollinate best practices across sectors.

Value Chain Thinking: Experience mapping and transforming end-to-end value chains, not just isolated processes. You see how operational decisions ripple across procurement, logistics, distribution, and financial performance.

Technical Fluency: You do not need to write code, but you must engage meaningfully with Solutions Architects and Data Engineers on topics like data schemas, system integrations, ERP landscapes, and AI/ML model requirements.

AI-Native Workflow: Comfort utilizing AI tools (LLM assistants, agentic workflows) to accelerate research, analysis, and deliverable production. You see AI as a force multiplier for consulting, not a novelty.

Agile Execution: Ability to thrive in rapid, hypothesis-driven sprint cycles (12-week engagement models) where the focus is on validation experiments and speed to insight rather than traditional, slow IT delivery.

Operating as an elite, senior-led "strike team," the company eliminates the operational friction of traditional, legacy digital-transformation models—which frequently suffer from slow time-to-value, vague deliverables, and integration-bottlenecks—by seamlessly deploying advanced proprietary AI-delivery telemetry, rigorous ROI-driven project architectures, and cohesive cross-stack transformation frameworks. Moving beyond rigid legacy software paradigms, Future Works empowers high-stakes global sectors (Aerospace, Energy, Real Estate, Finance) to dynamically synchronize their data-platform modernization, systems-integration, and AI-strategy pipelines with elite, scalable, and autonomous execution.
