About Addi

Addi is a leading financial platform revolutionizing payments, shopping, and banking in Colombia. Serving over 3.6 million customers and partnering with 55,000+ merchants, Addi is the fastest-growing marketplace in the country. With a technology-first approach, they offer banking solutions (deposits, payments, unsecured credit) and commerce services (e-commerce, marketing), bridging financial gaps and redefining financial freedom. As a regulated bank, Addi has achieved profitability and is backed by top investors like Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, and Union Square Ventures.

Addi is a conscious company driven by values, scaling technology, services, and products with deep expertise.

About the Role

This role focuses on driving the accounting close, reconciliation governance, and financial control framework for the Atlas portfolio, ensuring flawless month-end delivery by Working Day 3 (WD3), total portfolio separation, and audit-ready operations as Addi transitions to a fully regulated banking environment.

What’s the Mission You’ll Drive

Ensure flawless month-end delivery, total portfolio separation, and audit-ready operations for the Atlas portfolio.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure 100% SLA compliance for month-end close by WD3 through execution and oversight of Atlas accounting deliverables (interest accrual true-ups, cancellations, repurchases, late fees, impairment/provisions, claims, and settlement tie-outs), resulting in reviewer-friendly financial reporting and zero delayed closes.

  • Achieve 0% undetected silent breaks and 100% audit readiness by establishing a robust internal control and documentation framework (data freshness, ownership tagging, retroactive event treatment, and repeatable workpapers), reducing counterparty and external audit sampling cycles by at least 25%.

  • Eliminate financial reporting discrepancies under the servicing agreement by defining, documenting, and enforcing single-source-of-truth methodologies for servicing fees, ongoing statements, and portfolio performance, ensuring full compliance with counterparty SLAs and zero contractual penalties.

  • Reduce manual reconciliation effort by 40% by driving a practical automation roadmap (automated matching, rollforwards, exception routing, and approvals) alongside Engineering, Data Platform, and FinSyst teams, balancing close velocity with traceability.

  • Accelerate cross-functional issue resolution to under 48 hours by implementing a daily/weekly exception review cadence and escalation framework across Capital Markets Ops, Data, and Engineering, eliminating recurring root-cause breaks affecting the general ledger.

What We’re Looking For

Proven expertise in technical accounting and credit/structured finance (MUST HAVE)

  • Deep understanding of IFRS (specifically IFRS 9 / IFRS 9 derecognition and loan sale mechanics) and translating policy into tight operational processes.

  • Strong track record in loan/receivable accounting, settlement mechanics, and portfolio separation under complex financing or servicing structures.

Track record of driving rigorous financial controls and audit governance (MUST HAVE)

  • Establishes high standards for documentation, threshold monitoring, approval workflows, and evidence retention.

  • Zero-tolerance mindset for silent breaks, driving root-cause analyses with clear ownership and fix target dates.

Strong leadership in cross-functional execution and stakeholder management (MUST HAVE)

  • Communicates with clarity, authority, and composure when aligning with Capital Markets, Engineering, FinSyst, and external institutional counterparties.

  • Coaches and elevates ICs (Accounting Specialists) on reconciliation craftsmanship, prioritization, and analytical rigor.

Strong analytical rigor and data fluency (MUST HAVE)

  • Reviews and dissects large, complex loan-level datasets with advanced Excel modeling capabilities.

  • Translates business and accounting requirements into functional technical requirements for Data and Engineering teams.

Experienced in fintech, banking, or regulated financial institution transitions (PREFERRED)

  • Hands-on experience navigating accounting control rigor required for regulated banking environments or institutional loan sales (Forward Flow / ABS).

  • Demonstrates SQL literacy or experience using automated reconciliation engines and modern ERP setups (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, FinSyst internal engines).

Why Join Us?

  • Work on a problem that truly matters—impact customers' lives by creating accessible, seamless, and fair financial services.

  • Be part of something big from the ground up—shape the company’s technology, strategy, culture, and values.

  • Unparalleled growth opportunity—high-impact role in a rapidly scaling fintech company.

  • Join a world-class team—work alongside top-tier talent in an environment of excellence, ownership, and collaboration.

  • Competitive compensation and meaningful ownership—generous salary, equity, and benefits to support your growth.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Bogota, Colombia (with a massive presence in Brazil), the company fundamentally disrupts traditional, highly restrictive LatAm credit systems. Under the hood, Addi provides fast, transparent, and often interest-free point-of-sale financing that seamlessly integrates directly into digital checkout flows and physical retail stores. They leverage advanced machine learning, alternative data underwriting, and an ultra-streamlined mobile app to approve consumer credit in minutes—entirely bypassing the need for traditional credit cards or extensive bank histories. Their primary target audience spans millions of historically underbanked Latin American consumers, as well as thousands of regional e-commerce merchants who see massive spikes in conversion rates and average order values by offering Addi at checkout. What sets Addi apart in the global FinTech landscape is its deep, localized execution—building a highly scalable credit infrastructure specifically tailored to the unique economic realities of Latin America.
