We foster a people-first culture, investing in training and development programs, offering growth opportunities, and emphasizing collaboration and community.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will work closely with a Management Company Controller to support accounting and operations for a portfolio of Aduro clients. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and can build positive, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues while working independently from home.

  • Communicate issues and escalations to the Accounting Manager or Controller as required.

  • Process invoices, expense reports, basic payroll and benefits, intercompany transactions, financial reporting, and reconciliations independently.

  • Set up recurring training sessions and follow up with the Staff Accountant, providing supporting process documentation and technical support when needed.

  • Review all work completed by the Staff Accountant.

  • Participate in team meetings and 1:1 check-ins to support the Staff Accountant.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for Staff Accountants, answering questions, conducting trainings, and facilitating client and technical interactions.

  • Review new vendor setups.

  • Finalize and approve expense reporting, reviewing for intercompany expenses.

  • Accurately code and reconcile all banking transactions in accordance with US GAAP.

  • Perform other responsibilities as required by the team.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in an accounting role, with a preference for experience in accounts payable and payroll.

  • Proficient in accounting systems such as Xero or QuickBooks.

  • Comfortable using software systems including GSuite, Microsoft Office, Box, and Slack.

  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable with remote work.

  • Must be detail-oriented, service-focused, thoughtful, and excel in both written and verbal communication.

If you don’t meet all requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We believe in finding the right fit for each individual.

Aduro Advisors (operating at aduroadvisors.com) is a premier fund administration platform engineered for private capital funds. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Aduro specializes in tech-enabled fund administration, addressing the inefficiencies of traditional fund management. Unlike legacy providers that rely on outdated systems, Aduro leverages its proprietary software platform, FundPanel.io, to streamline fund accounting, reporting, and investor communications—all while ensuring compliance and transparency. This allows fund managers to focus on strategy rather than operational overhead, while investors gain real-time access to accurate, secure data via the Investor Portal. Backed by a reputation for precision and scalability, Aduro serves over $141 billion in assets under administration, empowering micro-venture and private equity firms to operate with confidence in a competitive landscape.
