Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect to join our core centralized Solutions Consulting collective in a full-time remote capacity across Spain. Functioning as a critical technical advisor and frontline partner to enterprise prospects, you will step up to claim individual strategic operational accountability for driving our continued expansion across the European wind, solar, and storage markets. Shifting completely away from monotone product feature listing or passive administrative tracking, you will operate at the intersection of business strategy and high-fidelity systems engineering. You will guide independent power producers through a process of rigorous discovery to intimacy map their unique pain points, align architectural solutions with core business goals, and prove real-world transaction value. This position requires an energy industry veteran with 5+ years of dedicated field history who qualifies technical enterprise opportunities fluidly natively using Sales Representative frameworks, models industrial data flows smoothly natively using Project Management principles, and configures multi-tenant platform integrations confidently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Lifecycle Technical Sale Ownership: Direct, configure, and secure the end-to-end presales architecture for enterprise renewable energy management accounts, driving deals from top-of-funnel discovery to closed validation natively utilizing Sales Representative methods.
  • Rigorous Customer Discovery and Scoping: Partner in lockstep with client stakeholders, IPP asset managers, and investors to execute deep workflow analysis, mapping unique business requirements, data boundaries, and operational constraints.
  • High-Impact Technical Demos and Pitches: Architect and deliver customized solution proposals, highly technical product demonstrations, clear whiteboard layouts, and data-backed proofs-of-value to justify long-term business value.
  • Industrial IoT and Integration Architecture Design: Define and map the precise technical Solution Scope required to integrate Power Factors applications cleanly with client infrastructure, ensuring smooth transactional data flow natively leveraging Project Management blueprints.
  • Strategic RFP and Proposal Engineering: Author, refine, and compile comprehensive technical sections for enterprise Request for Proposal (RFP) response loops, providing detailed system-integration and payload definitions.
  • Cross-Functional Architecture Alignment: Act as the primary technical liaison between enterprise customers and distributed Product Management, Core Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Success squads to feed field gaps back into the roadmap.
  • Multi-Substrate Protocol Calibration: Analyze, test, and troubleshoot enterprise energy telemetry networks, proving hands-on familiarity across web-based IoT platforms, SCADA systems, programmable power controllers (PPC), data acquisition systems (DAS), and enterprise historians (such as OSIsoft PI).
  • Technical Brand Ambassadorship and Mentorship: Attend premium industry trade events to represent Power Factors’ technical vision out loud, while simultaneously providing structured technical guidance and mentorship to junior solutions consultants internally.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of verified professional history running advanced presales engineering, technical product/project management, business process optimization, software systems deployment, or industrial IoT engineering inside the renewable energy landscape.
  • Deep, authoritative technical command of utility-scale Solar PV networks, Wind asset management data rules, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and power distribution workflows.
  • Expert-tier capability modeling complex system dependencies, structuring data integration maps, and managing multi-stakeholder delivery matrixes natively utilizing Project Management orchestration parameters.
  • Practical operational familiarity configuring cloud data environments, tracking telemetry payloads, and handling enterprise database connections natively using Sales Representative consulting strategies (requiring direct experience with SCADA, historians, or platforms hosted on AWS/Azure networks).
  • Demonstrated history collaborating directly alongside institutional IPPs, retail utilities, EPC developers, or third-party operations and maintenance (O&M) providers.
  • Possession of a formal university Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a highly technical discipline (such as Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering).
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and visual presentation traits in fluent English, enabling uncompromised clarity when presenting technical architecture maps before executive boards.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior commercial sales engineering experience operating explicitly within a hyper-growth enterprise SaaS environment, IPaaS data middleware hub, or heavy energy analytics startup.
  • Advanced operational fluency or multilingual presentation capabilities in Spanish or additional European languages to facilitate localized market engagement.
