iPiD empowers financial institutions, payment service providers, and enterprises with a single global API for Know Your Payee (KYP) verification—reducing fraud, reducing costs, staying compliant, and streamlining cross-border payments, globally.
We are a fast-growing fintech startup, founded by a global team of industry veterans from iconic organizations like SWIFT and Thomson Reuters.
As Sales Director you will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities across the region. This is a high-impact commercial role for someone who thrives on building strategic relationships, opening new markets, and delivering revenue growth within the cross-border payments industry.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth across Europe
- Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
- Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
- Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
- Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (product management, marketing, customer success etc.)
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
- Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
- Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
Requirements
- Strong academic background in engineering, business, or comparable experience
- Result-oriented with at least 5 years of experience and a track record in the payment industry, preferably cross-border payments
- Proven experience as commercial director or other relevant role in the Europe
- Proven experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key clients
- In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
- Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and at least two major European languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish, or Italian).
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with technical and business audiences
- Candidates may be based anywhere in Europe and must have valid work authorization. Visa sponsorship is not available.
