What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a scientific and medical consultant on CDC public health research studies and surveillance projects.
  • Contribute to the design, conduct, and evaluation of evaluation studies measuring the effectiveness of public health programs and strategies.
  • Write and review manuscripts, reports, and presentations for professional meetings and peer-reviewed publication.
  • Communicate scientific findings and public health information to professional, government, and public audiences.
  • Review research proposals and protocols, offering recommendations on design, methodology, and programmatic impact.
  • Support project sites with guidance on procedures and standardized protocols.
  • Help develop contracts and policy documents, and ensure activities align with applicable review and compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current medical licensure and credentials in neurology applicable to the assigned scope of work.
  • Documented experience working with CDC, other federal agencies, or related public health entities.
  • Strong scientific writing and presentation skills, including peer-reviewed publication experience.
  • Comfort working independently in a consulting capacity with federal public health stakeholders.
