Remote GLP-1 Prescriber (NP) – Weight Management & Metabolic Health

The Role

Berry Street has built one of the largest integrated GLP-1 prescribing networks in the country and is expanding our NP roster to meet growing patient demand. As a prescriber, you'll conduct telehealth evaluations, prescribe and titrate FDA-approved GLP-1 medications, and work alongside our Registered Dietitian team — all fully remote, on a schedule you control.

We have collaborative physician agreements in place across CA, FL, TX, IL, NY, NJ, NC, PA, VA, and OH, with additional states being added on a rolling basis. We welcome applicants licensed in full practice authority states as well as those in states requiring physician collaboration — as long as you're willing to practice under a formal collaborative agreement where applicable.

What You'll Do

• Conduct synchronous telehealth evaluations for new GLP-1 patients, assessing eligibility, comorbidities, contraindications, and treatment goals per Berry Street's clinical protocol
• Prescribe and titrate FDA-approved GLP-1 medications (Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Foundayo) for weight management
• Manage follow-up visits, dose titration, side effect counseling, and lab review through a mix of synchronous visits and asynchronous chart review
• Review Berry Street RD care summaries before prescribing encounters and reference documented lifestyle modification history in your clinical notes
• Respond to prior authorization appeals requiring clinical input within 48 hours (though the Berry Street team manages the broader prior authorization process)
• Participate in Medical Director-led clinical reviews, protocol updates, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain active licensure and prescriptive authority
• NPs requiring physician collaboration will operate under a Berry Street collaborative practice agreement, participate in state-required chart reviews and check-ins with your assigned collaborating physician, and be available for as-needed clinical consultation — Berry Street coordinates all compliance infrastructure and agreement logistics

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NP license with current ANCC or AANP board certification (FNP, AGNP/AGPCNP, or equivalent population-focused certification appropriate for adult weight management)
• Prior telehealth prescribing experience in weight management or metabolic health
• 5+ active state licenses is a big plus
• Willingness to practice under a collaborative physician agreement in states where it is required
• Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience managing patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, or related cardiometabolic conditions
• Comfortable in a fully remote clinical environment; proficient with EMR platforms
• Authorized to work and physically based in the U.S.
• Obesity medicine training or certification (SCOPE, OMA coursework, ABOM-eligible) is a big plus
