The Role

Kodex is hiring its second recruiter to work across the full spectrum of the business. You’ll own your recruitment requests end-to-end from day one and report directly to the Founding Recruiter as the company scales.

The search scope includes threat intelligence specialists, go-to-market (GTM), customer-facing roles, and increasingly technical positions on engineering teams. This is not a coordinator or specialist role—you’ll handle full-cycle recruiting for any role assigned.

This is a unique opportunity. Kodex created the category of lawful data exchange between public and private sectors, and the demand for this expertise continues to grow as the tech landscape evolves. The team you help hire will shape this emerging industry.

Kodex operates at high velocity: rapid product launches, expansion into new markets, top-tier venture funding, and strong momentum. The recruiting function is highly visible here—you’ll collaborate with individual contributors and hiring managers across the organization, and the quality of hires directly impacts a product with real-world significance.

This is a U.S.-based remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Own your roles — manage full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer, covering a diverse mix of GTM, customer, and technical searches.

  • Partner with hiring managers — conduct intake calls, define role profiles, calibrate candidate assessments, and drive the recruitment process end-to-end.

  • Build roles and hiring plans in Ashby — leverage your expertise in the tool to improve how searches are structured and executed.

  • Source creatively — develop your own pipeline through technical, strategic, network-driven, event-driven, or AI-assisted methods.

  • Screen and evaluate — conduct recruiter screens, deep-dive assessments, and candidate calibration.

  • Manage offers and close — negotiate, craft compelling pitches, and secure candidate acceptance.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.

  • Series A/B or high-growth startup experience — this role is not suited for FAANG or large corporate recruiters. You thrive in ambiguity and build processes from scratch.

  • Owner mentality — you’ve launched recruitment requests independently, built your own pipeline, and closed candidates without a support team. You take a request from zero to close.

  • Ambition — this role demands high performance, adaptability, and the ability to handle rapid context-switching and shifting search priorities.

  • Proven ability to ramp on new domains — you’ve successfully onboarded into unfamiliar technical or specialized roles and quickly identified key signals.

  • Sharp candidate assessment — you form clear impressions quickly and can articulate them effectively.

  • Excellent communication — with candidates, hiring managers, and in written form.

Big Pluses

  • Prior agency background before going in-house.

  • Recruiting experience in regulated or sensitive-data industries (e.g., fintech, legaltech, security, govtech).

  • Experience recruiting for GTM roles (Sales, Customer Success, Business Development Representatives) or technical roles (engineering, security, platform).

  • Fluency in Ashby — you know how to build roles, workflows, and interview plans within the tool.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Kodex is unable to sponsor or transfer employment visas for this position.

Benefits

  • Remote-first within the U.S.

  • Offsites in exciting locations, such as Seattle, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco.

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity.

  • Unlimited vacation plus 14 company holidays.

  • 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, with a flexible return-to-work policy.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.

  • 401(k) retirement plan.

  • Dynamic Environment — you’ll help build the team at a Series A company actively defining a new market.
