About InterPayments: InterPayments is a San Francisco, CA-based financial technology SaaS company sitting at the high-impact intersection of payment processing and data intelligence analytics. Our mission is to empower commercial merchants and the software vendors they utilize to lower transaction costs programmatically. We build innovative, data-driven cloud services that Fortune 1000 enterprises rely upon daily to reduce interchange fees by instantly placing payment providers in direct competition on every single swipe. We promote a transparent, growth-minded operational workspace that inspires problem solvers to perform at their highest potential and create long-lasting professional connections.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, technical, and process-driven Professional Services Manager to join our centralized customer operations organization under a permanent, full-time remote model open across the United States. Reporting directly to the Director of Professional Services, you will serve as the definitive operational glue and integration lead from the exact moment a sales agreement is finalized entirely through to live production deployment. Shifting completely away from top-of-funnel outbound sales prospecting, routine back-office data entry transcription, or standalone user interface styling, you will run an active client onboarding, API transaction debugging, and multi-tenant delivery milestone laboratory. This position requires an integration and delivery authority with 8+ years of technical SaaS experience who directs client implementations fluidly natively using Project Management methodologies, reads API request and response payloads cleanly to isolate transaction errors, translates complex financial card-brand surcharging rules into technical steps, and holds external developer cells and system integrators strictly accountable to committed target dates.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery Portfolio Ownership: Lead and coordinate all implementation milestones for a portfolio of enterprise merchants from initial kickoff to live production deployment natively utilizing Project Management frameworks.
- Technical Integration & API Triage: Serve as a hands-on technical resource—inspecting JSON/REST API payload requests, analyzing transaction logs, and identifying configuration errors to resolve engineering blockers.
- Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Function as a primary consultant bridging internal software development engineering cells with external merchants, software vendors (ISVs), gateway providers, and ERP integration units.
- Client Onboarding & Affordability Analytics: Track implementation health indices, mapping critical path dependencies, risk friction factors, forecast timelines, and data anomalies in Microsoft Excel.
- Customer Advocacy & Response SLA: Act as the absolute voice of the client internally, maintaining an extreme dedication to responsiveness by ensuring all customer inquiries are structurally acknowledged within 2 hours during operational windows.
- Root Cause Analysis Synthesis: Conduct detailed post-mortem Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations over deployment faults, documenting structural solutions clearly inside our centralized internal knowledge repository.
- End-User Implementation Training: Structure and deliver comprehensive software application training modules and user documentation to guide non-technical client business teams safely through go-live events.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 8+ years of proven professional history operating inside a Technical Project Management, Implementation Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Support capacity within a B2B SaaS organization.
- Hands-on Data Analytics Fluency: Demonstrated individual contributor capability to manipulate large data vectors in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, backed by experience parsing application server logs or API payloads.
- Superb customer-facing communication and presentation strengths in English, with an established ability to translate highly abstract technical engineering code boundaries into clear business steps.
- Highly structured project manager habits with a proven track record creating logical milestone tracks, gathering data requirements, mapping dependencies, and managing client escalations.
- Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified technical account leads residing permanently within the United States.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Possess a formal industry credential such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Direct domain exposure operating within a high-growth FinTech startup, payment processing clearinghouse, payment gateway provider, or financial ISV ecosystem.
- Granular background managing custom system modifications for enterprise ERP systems or navigating card-brand compliance and merchant surcharging legal regulations.
- Prior development experience or operational capability manipulating data models natively using SQL or Python scripts.
- Possess a formal Bachelor degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields.
What We Offer
- Top-Tier FinTech Professional Compensation: A market-competitive annual base salary structure customized precisely to your technical project engineering history, supplemented by attractive rewards.
- 100% remote workspace infrastructure freedom across the United States, granting true personal scheduling control and eliminating corporate commutes.
- Extreme Technical Execution Velocity: Direct credentials built by commanding complex payment intelligence platforms utilized by Fortune 1000 market brands.
- Comprehensive health assurance parameters, providing competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage packages.
- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) structures, observed national public holidays, paths for merit advancement, and a home-office-supported environment that rejects complacency and embraces continuous learning.

Moving far beyond traditional, passive gateway tools or rigid point-of-sale configurations, Interpayments natively unifies real-time card type identification (distinguishing corporate, debit, and consumer cards), automatic localized surcharge calculation, dynamic jurisdictional rule enforcement, and unified ledger reconciliation into a single high-availability transactional workspace. The platform empowers corporate financial operations to seamlessly recapture processing costs, protect operating margins, and streamline customer checkout velocity with production-hardened precision.
