Product Manager at Covera Health

Covera Health is looking for a Product Manager to own and expand products like Protect AI and Protect Seniors, as well as future offerings. This role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Clinical, and internal teams, alongside customers, to translate needs into well-built products.

The role focuses on platforms, APIs, data, and AI, with customers primarily engaging through metrics and reporting (e.g., monthly/quarterly presentations and spreadsheets) rather than polished interfaces. Ideal candidates are technically strong and energized by this type of work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer & Stakeholder Discovery: Work with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science, AI, Clinical, Operations) and customers to understand clinical and business needs, translating them into product direction.
• Vision & Roadmap: Own the product vision and roadmap, focusing on expanding existing products and supporting new ones.
• Platform & API Delivery: Collaborate with Engineering and AI teams to design and deliver products, including platform capabilities and API specifications.
• Requirements: Write detailed, comprehensive product requirements and ensure traceability across product releases.
• Technical Review: Review specifications and technical design documents, providing timely feedback to maintain quality.
• Product Strategy: Identify gaps in existing products and inform an overarching product vision, avoiding band-aid fixes.
• Success Metrics & Reporting: Define success metrics and reporting for customers, ensuring measurable impact.
• AI-Enabled Discovery & Delivery: Use AI tools (e.g., AI-assisted prototyping) for rapid testing and faster discovery, analysis, and delivery.
• Process Leadership: Champion best practices for planning, documentation, development, testing, and delivery across teams.
• Communication: Clearly communicate product priorities, progress, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience (e.g., product management, engineering, or roles building relevant skills).
• Strong technical background, comfortable working with platforms, APIs, and data rather than UI design.
• Experience in healthcare, ideally in healthcare SaaS or health technology.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and JSON.
• Ability to analyze data to answer product and business questions.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools for rapid prototyping and comfort working with AI-forward products (no production code required).
• Experience working with internal teams and customers, including those engaging through metrics and reports.
• Experience writing detailed product requirements and reviewing technical design documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Passion for improving healthcare quality for millions of patients.
• Experience with Databricks preferred.
• Clinical or healthcare training/exposure (e.g., nursing, medical school, biomedical background) preferred.
• Exposure to radiology helpful but not required.
• Experience at a large technology company preferred.
