Shape the Future of Agentic Cybersecurity

Artificial intelligence is transforming cybersecurity. Autonomous agents are beginning to investigate alerts, hunt threats, operate security tools, orchestrate response actions, and work alongside human analysts. The next generation of cybersecurity won't simply be powered by AI—it will increasingly depend on autonomous systems operating in complex enterprise environments.

The challenge facing the industry isn't just building these systems. It's building confidence that they can be trusted.

At SimSpace, we've built one of the industry's leading AI Proving Grounds, enabling cybersecurity vendors, Fortune 500 enterprises, government agencies, and military organizations to build, test, validate, and operationalize AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities in realistic cyber environments.

As Principal Product Manager for Environmental Realism, you'll help define what those environments look like for the next decade.

What Makes This Role Different

Most product management roles focus on building products.

This role helps shape an industry.

You'll work directly with the teams building the world's next generation of AI-powered cybersecurity products. Every quarter, you'll sit down with the engineers, researchers, and product leaders defining the future of autonomous cyber operations to understand the challenges they're trying to solve. At the same time, you'll partner with Fortune 500 security teams, government agencies, and military organizations responsible for defending some of the world's most critical infrastructure to understand what they'll require before trusting those technologies in real-world operations.

Your job is to turn those insights into the next generation of SimSpace's Environmental Realism platform.

That means defining how realistic cyber environments evolve to support the future of agentic cybersecurity—from attack simulation and enterprise user activity to cloud services, SaaS applications, simulated internet infrastructure, and AI-assisted environment generation.

The products you define won't simply improve cyber ranges. They'll influence how autonomous cybersecurity systems are built, evaluated, and trusted across the industry.

What You'll Do

Define the Future of Environmental Realism

Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one of SimSpace's most strategic product portfolios.

Determine how Environmental Realism evolves to support emerging AI-native security products, autonomous cyber agents, and increasingly sophisticated cyber operations.

Balance customer needs, technical innovation, platform scalability, and long-term strategic differentiation.

Serve as the cross-functional leader for Environmental Realism, bringing together engineering, UX, cyber experts, range content teams, customer-facing organizations, and executive leadership around a common strategy. Drive alignment, facilitate difficult prioritization decisions, and ensure multiple teams execute as a coordinated portfolio rather than independent initiatives.

Work Alongside Industry Leaders

Partner directly with:

  • Cybersecurity companies building the next generation of AI-native security products.
  • Enterprise security organizations adopting autonomous cyber capabilities.
  • Government agencies and military organizations preparing for the future of AI-enabled cyber operations.
  • Internal cyber experts, researchers, and engineers advancing the state of the art in cyber simulation.

Rather than reacting to market trends, you'll help define them.

Build the Platform That Builds Trust

Guide the evolution of capabilities including:

  • Attack simulation and adversary behavior
  • User activity and traffic generation
  • Enterprise networks, operating systems, and application ecosystems
  • Simulated cloud, SaaS, and internet services
  • Reusable cyber environments
  • AI-assisted environment creation
  • Environmental automation and orchestration

Every investment should answer one question: How do we create cyber environments realistic enough that customers trust the results produced inside them?

Turn Emerging Ideas into Products

Translate conversations with customers, partners, researchers, and engineering into product strategy and roadmap investments.

Partner closely with engineering and UX to deliver platform capabilities that scale across every SimSpace solution while creating meaningful competitive advantage.

Represent SimSpace's Environmental Realism strategy with customers, analysts, and industry partners.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be successful when:

  • Leading cybersecurity companies use SimSpace to build and improve agentic security solutions.
  • Government and military customers rely on SimSpace to evaluate operational readiness for AI-enabled cyber capabilities.
  • Customers choose SimSpace because our environments most closely reflect the complexity of real enterprise operations.
  • Environmental Realism becomes an even stronger competitive differentiator for SimSpace.
  • Your roadmap directly influences how the cybersecurity industry builds confidence in autonomous cyber systems.

What Are The Qualifications To Apply?

To be successful as a Principal Product Manager, AI Platform and Cyber Validation, you need:

  • Minimum of 8 years of product management experience with a proven track record of delivering successful technical products, or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, AI infrastructure, platform engineering, simulation, security operations, or enterprise technology.
  • Demonstrated experience owning cyber products, platform products, infrastructure products, developer platforms, enterprise technical products, AI/ML platforms, cloud platforms, or other complex systems-oriented products.
  • Strong technical fluency and the ability to work directly with senior engineering leaders on architecture, platform design, APIs, data flows, integrations, scalability, reliability, security, and implementation tradeoffs.
  • Experience defining clear functional and non-functional requirements that enable engineering teams to understand the intended outcome, constraints, customer value, and success criteria.
  • Strategic product judgment, including the ability to connect technical platform investments to customer value, market differentiation, business outcomes, and long-term product direction.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts related to attacks, adversary behavior, threat actors, threat emulation, detection, response, controls validation, and security operations.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise customer needs, technical buying dynamics, stakeholder management, and product discovery in complex B2B environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex platform, AI, and cybersecurity concepts into clear product strategy and customer value.

Preferred But Not Required

  • Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, autonomous agents, LLM applications, model evaluation, agent evaluation, GPU/CPU performance considerations, data pipelines, or AI development workflows.
  • Experience with platform technologies such as cloud infrastructure, hybrid cloud, Kubernetes, containers, virtualization, hypervisors, APIs, distributed systems, developer experience, observability, or infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with cyber ranges, simulation environments, training platforms, security operations, threat emulation, adversary emulation, red team or blue team workflows, incident response, or controls validation.
  • Familiarity with security tools or concepts such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, threat intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK, Cobalt Strike, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, or Splunk.
  • Experience building or scaling products that serve both technical operators and executive decision-makers.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, GCIH, PMP, PMC, or equivalent experience are helpful but not required.
