Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Principal Cloud Architect, Google Cloud to lead our core centralized Engineering and Product Management division in a full-time remote capacity within the United States. In this high-stakes, executive-tier individual contributor seat, you will act as the trusted primary technical advisor to engineering squads, customer executives, and corporate leadership cells, translating complex multi-year technical roadmaps into clear business value. Shifting completely away from routine environment provisioning or passive infrastructure monitoring, you will claim true individual accountability for defining enterprise-wide cloud adoption, migration, and application modernization strategies. This position requires an industry-recognized cloud champion with 5–10 years of formal architecture leadership background who structures hybrid multi-cloud systems fluidly, programs automated security guardrails smoothly under high-load parameters, and elevates Egen’s global brand through whitepapers and industry conference speaking engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Year Enterprise Strategy Definition: Architect, implement, and govern the multi-year, company-wide migration and cloud adoption strategy, maintaining a premier focus on Google Cloud services alongside strategic interoperability with AWS platforms.
- Scalable Infrastructure as Code Governance: Write, review, and enforce global cloud governance frameworks, architectural reference models, and reusable modular blocks natively utilizing **DevOps** methodologies built around GitOps and **Terraform** automation.
- Strict DevSecOps and Compliance Enforcement: Establish and audit an uncompromised cloud security posture across all staging and production spaces natively using Cybersecurity parameters to satisfy stringent regulatory metrics including GDPR, HIPAA, and data residency laws.
- High-Load Google Cloud Solution Engineering: Lead the hands-on engineering, capacity planning, and live deployment of massive distributed clusters leveraging Google Cloud services, explicitly covering GKE, Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, and Cloud Spanner.
- Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Integration Design: Design secure, low-latency cross-platform connection patterns, implementing federated identity models and centralized key management systems to ensure consistent IAM enforcement across GCP and AWS environments.
- Emerging GenAI and Serverless Prototyping: Lead cutting-edge Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives for emerging technologies, designing the baseline architecture for Generative AI utilities (Vertex AI or AWS Bedrock) and serverless workflows.
- Automated Cost Optimization Guardrails: Formulate and deploy automated cost tracking and financial guardrails across multi-cloud spaces, ensuring maximum corporate ROI and proactive cloud spend containment.
- Engineering Talent Mentorship and Brand Elevation: Coach, mentor, and grow a dedicated group of Senior and Lead Cloud Engineers, while actively authoring technical engineering blogs and representing Egen as an expert speaker at industry meetups.
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Master-level technical command of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) configurations, including deep expertise managing advanced cloud networking topologies, IAM policies, and system observability matrixes.
- Expert-tier software proficiency mapping multi-cloud modules, declarative state environments, and serverless clusters natively utilizing **DevOps** code frameworks and **Terraform** engines.
- Production-tested experience configuring identity federation, row-level data access filters, and multi-tier network firewalls natively leveraging Cybersecurity defensive frameworks.
- Deep architectural history managing secondary public cloud ecosystems, showcasing hands-on experience deploying workloads across Amazon Web Services (AWS explicitly covering EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and EKS).
- Hands-on scripting and application development fluency utilizing at least one modern object-oriented or functional language, preferably Python or Java.
