About 1Password: 1Password is the premier, internationally recognized identity security pioneer, enterprise software innovator, and Unified Access Management platform leader on an absolute mission to build the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Trusted at an immense enterprise scale by more than 180,000 businesses worldwide—spanning from Fortune 100 corporate operations to the world’s most innovative artificial intelligence teams—1Password ensures every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. Surpassing $400M in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and holding a multi-year spot on the prestigious Forbes Cloud 100 list, the organization takes a deeply human-centric, feedback-driven approach to close the gap between corporate data protection and end-user privacy confidently.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, data-minded mid-level .NET/C# Developer to join our core global SaaS Manager organization within the Technology department. Available as a full-time remote opportunity across Canada and the United States (ideally operating within Eastern Time zone hours), this critical platform seat will embed you directly inside our specialized Usability Foundations squad. Following 1Password’s strategic acquisition of Trelica in early 2025, our unit plays an essential role in advancing the company’s global Extended Access Management (XAM) strategy. Moving past boilerplate application configurations, you will claim individual accountability for coding, testing, and maintaining production features that give IT leaders real-time visibility into SaaS usage, asset optimization, and compliant corporate software adoption loops.

Key Responsibilities

  • .NET/C# Core Application Engineering: Program, test, debug, and deliver high-performance backend systems and product features natively leveraging the .NET/C# framework and language ecosystem.
  • Enterprise SaaS Governance Curation: Construct and expand the core analytics services that provide enterprise IT administrators with data-driven insights into software compliance metrics and license spending layers.
  • Full-Stack Component Integration: Collaborate across distributed product circles to design and bridge responsive layout components and internal tools written in TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
  • NoSQL Data Persistence Modeling: Manage and scale relational and document-oriented data models cleanly, structuring performant read/write operations natively within MongoDB registries.
  • Rigorous Automated Testing: Code comprehensive unit, integration, and functional test frameworks across various stages of the development cycle to prevent regressions and maintain high production reliability.
  • Peer Code Reviews & Hygiene: Conduct detailed technical code reviews for team members to preserve coding standards, optimize algorithms, and foster a safe environment of giving and receiving feedback.
  • Task Breakdown & Planning: Participate actively in technical planning milestones, identifying dependencies, estimating implementation complexity, and breaking open-ended problems into small, testable steps.
  • Technical Documentation Mapping: Author, standardize, and maintain architecture documentation and software deployment guidelines to guarantee system-level scalability.
  • Developer Mentorship: Serve as an engineering guide for junior and onboarding developers, providing clear technical insights, sharing architecture knowledge, and conducting pair programming sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of verified professional history running native backend development, full-stack software engineering, object-oriented systems design, or cloud application delivery.
  • Strong, authoritative technical command programming microservices and business logic explicitly inside the .NET/C# language ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience implementing enterprise software development best practices, continuous clean-code architecture patterns, and solid debugging techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret moderately complex technical challenges, synthesize requirements, and propose effective, scalable software solutions.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, with a proven history coordinating smoothly beside cross-functional design, product management, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Location Context: Parameters open to qualified full-stack developers base-stationed permanently anywhere within the United States or Canada, highlighting a strong preference for availability during Eastern Time work periods.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Practical full-stack engineering proficiency developing data-driven web views using React combined with TypeScript or JavaScript script extensions.
  • Direct production familiarity handling data schemas and performance tuning metrics inside MongoDB database instances.
  • Prior background executing within a fast-moving, high-velocity startup environment or a rapidly scaling corporate SaaS enterprise.
  • Active personal habit of utilizing next-generation AI-assisted coding tools safely to accelerate pull-request reviews, minimize training-serving skew, and catch software bugs early.

What We Offer

  • Fair Market Value Salaried Compensation:
    • United States Local Track: An attractive annual base salary range calibrated between $123,000 – $172,000 USD.
    • Canada Local Track: An attractive annual base salary range calibrated between $111,000 – $155,000 CAD.
  • The exceptional professional canvas to directly direct, code, and define the SaaS tracking platforms safeguarding data access for millions of enterprise users.
  • Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering high workspace flexibility, generous paid time off policies, and corporate travel support for annual department-wide offsites and team meetings.
  • Immediate participation in comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance benefit structures tailored to evaluate local regional targets.
  • Access to robust retirement matching programs (including local 401(k) or RRSP infrastructure matching setups).
  • Meaningful long-term financial upside via corporate equity grants, peer-to-peer recognition rewards through Bonusly, and a free premium 1Password account from day one.
