The Role

We are looking to appoint an experienced leader to grow the reach and impact of Code Club across India.

Code Club is the world's largest movement of free computing clubs where young people aged 9-16 years old develop the skills and confidence to create with digital technologies. Code Clubs are run by teachers, educators, and volunteers from all walks of life and take place in schools and community settings, like libraries and maker spaces.

We already support a network of 2500 Code Clubs in schools and communities all over India and we are building new partnerships that will see Code Clubs being set up as part of the networks of Atal Tinkering Labs in Odisha, Kerala, and beyond.

As National Programme Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for growing and sustaining the network of Code Clubs in India, including through creating strategic partnerships with a wide range of organisations.

You will also play a critical role in ensuring that Code Club makes a real impact on young people, including through recruiting and training mentors, gathering feedback and data, and identifying and sharing good practices.

You will also lead the delivery of Coolest Projects in India, providing a platform for young people from Code Clubs to share the projects they build so that they can learn from and inspire each other.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a deep understanding of the Indian education system, both schools and non-formal settings. You should have a proven track record of leading large scale national educational or volunteer-driven programs, as well as developing and managing strategic partnerships. You don’t need to be an expert in computer science or coding, but you do need to bring a passion for our mission and a willingness to learn.

We work hard to make sure that the Foundation is a place where everyone is supported to do the best work of their careers. We have a flexible and collaborative approach to all aspects of our work. If you're the right person for the job, we’ll make it work for you, and you can be confident that you’ll be joining an exceptional team of people who care about our mission and each other

  • Ensure all Code Clubs and partners understand and follow our safeguarding policies and practices.
