We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design and CAD Specialist to review engineering models and drawings, assess manufacturability, and develop realistic design scenarios. The work combines 3D modelling, GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM, engineering mechanics, and manufacturing knowledge. Previous AI experience is not required.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and professional experience in mechanical or production design. They will also have strong proficiency with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar, and practical knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM.
The responsibilities of the role include reviewing mechanical parts, assemblies, and 3D CAD models, evaluating engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturing readiness, assessing the correct application of GD&T and tolerance specifications, and recommending improvements based on Design for Manufacturability principles.
The selected expert should be available to begin within 24–48 hours after onboarding and should be able to provide structured feedback to improve AI-generated engineering content.
