We are looking for a Market Fleet Manager for the region DACH.
As Market Fleet Manager – DACH, you are a key member of the DACH Operations Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Business Director – DACH and working closely with the Regional Operations Managers.
You’ll lead all Regional Fleet Managers across 5 DACH Regions, with indirect oversight of Fleet Managers, Technicians, Damage Detection Experts, and Spare Parts Experts for over 4000 vehicles at over 40 stations. Your mission: drive fleet availability, repair turn-around, cost efficiency, and quality across the market — keeping our fleet running smoothly and our operations performing at their best.
The role - your passion
- Own the Maintenance, Repair, and Fleet Transfer budget and ensure cost-efficient, high-quality repairs across the market such as Repair Strategy, Workshop Network, Spare Parts Inventory.
- Define repair strategies per vehicle based on damage reports and operational priorities.
- Maintain strong vehicle availability by coordinating workshop capacity, scheduling, and spare parts flow.
- Build and optimize the internal and external workshop network to improve turnaround times and cost efficiency.
- Lead and develop fleet teams at the station (fleet managers, technicians, damage detection experts) ensuring consistent performance and technical capability, damage detection rates and spare parts inventory.
- Track key KPIs such as repair cost, time, and damage detection accuracy and spearheading strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
What You Need To Surf The Wave With Us
- A Degree or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in fleet management, maintenance/repair, or workshop management.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience, preferably in a technical and operational environment.
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment; travel to internal stations and external vendors within the market required.
- Proficient in maintenance or fleet management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Working proficiency in both German and English.
