We are looking for a Machine Learning Researcher who is deeply passionate about research, experimentation, and solving complex problems. This role is ideal for someone who doesn't just implement existing techniques but actively explores what is missing, what can be improved, and what should be built next.
The Role
As an ML Researcher, you will work closely with our Machine Learning team to identify research opportunities, investigate emerging techniques, and explore new approaches that can improve our AI capabilities.
You will be expected to independently explore research areas, identify gaps in existing work, evaluate the latest developments in ML and generative AI, and translate your findings into actionable recommendations for our engineering and ML teams.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys asking "What hasn't been solved yet?", "How can we do this better?", and "What should we build next?"
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-depth research into Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI.
- Identify gaps, limitations, and opportunities in existing research and technologies.
- Stay up to date with the latest research papers, models, architectures, and techniques.
- Explore and evaluate new approaches that could improve our ML capabilities.
- Analyze existing research and determine how it can be applied to real-world products.
- Work closely with ML engineers and researchers to turn research ideas into practical solutions.
- Propose new ideas, experiments, and directions for the ML team.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate research hypotheses.
- Review and benchmark existing methods and models.
- Communicate research findings and technical recommendations clearly to the broader ML team.
- Help shape the technical and research roadmap by identifying promising areas for exploration.
- Contribute to building novel ML solutions rather than simply implementing established methods.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on research experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning fundamentals.
- Proven ability to conduct independent technical research and investigate complex problems.
- Strong ability to read, understand, and critically evaluate research papers.
- Experience identifying research gaps and proposing new approaches or solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to move from a research idea to experimentation and, where applicable, a practical implementation.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A curious, highly analytical mindset with a genuine interest in exploring new ideas and pushing the boundaries of AI.
