About the Role

The Licensed Therapist will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team (nutrition, medical, psychiatry, mentorship) to deliver evidence-based care modalities such as Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E). Responsibilities include evidence-based treatment delivery, quality documentation, and ongoing patient/family needs assessment.

This role involves emotionally rewarding yet challenging work. Equip offers Flex PTO (3-5 weeks recommended), company holidays, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health, legal, and financial support. The company prioritizes the well-being of its providers.

Working Hours:

  • Ability to provide 30 hours/week for direct patient care (new patients and follow-ups).
  • Commitment to 16 hours/week of direct care after 2 PM (or 3 PM in Mountain Time to accommodate Pacific Time patients).
  • Availability until 8 PM two evenings per week (flexible scheduling).
  • Attendance at mandatory meetings (Group Supervision, Treatment Huddles, Labs/All Hands, Individual Supervision).

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses via telehealth.
  • Implement FBT, CBT-E, and CBT for ARFID across patient lifespans.
  • Maintain a caseload of 30-40 patients, with 20-26 hours of direct care and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing trainings.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, mentors, and external providers.
  • Use between-session messaging and Equip’s EMR for patient/family support.
  • Engage in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings.
  • Maintain licensure in home state and obtain additional state licenses as requested (licensure costs covered by Equip).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Active, unrestricted, independent license to practice psychotherapy in Arkansas.
  • Ability to support diverse patient populations (ages, backgrounds, cultures, acuity levels).
  • Passion for evidence-based care and eating disorder treatment.
  • Availability for 2 evenings/week until 8 PM in patient time zone.
  • Strong team player with enthusiasm for mental health advocacy.
  • Experience delivering care in virtual settings.
  • Commitment to expanding access to eating disorder treatment.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in FBT or eating disorder treatment.
  • Background in evidence-based treatment or intensive care settings.
  • Experience with patients exhibiting suicidal ideation or trauma.
  • Case management or multidisciplinary team collaboration experience.

Compensation

  • Earning Potential Range: $71,000 to $92,000 annually + 15% annual performance-based bonus potential.

Physical Demands

Work is fully remote with no travel requirements. Position involves standard office equipment use, keyboarding, and telephone communication. Sit or stand as needed.
