We are seeking a Junior Product Manager to support the development and evolution of ShipHawk’s Transportation Management System (TMS). In this role, you’ll help deliver product enhancements that simplify shipping operations, improve carrier connectivity, and create measurable value for our customers.

You’ll work closely with engineering, UX, customer success, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs, translate requirements into actionable product improvements, and support the execution of our TMS roadmap.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career product manager who enjoys solving complex problems, has an interest in logistics technology, and wants to grow their product management skills in a collaborative B2B SaaS environment.

This role reports directly to our Director of Product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of ShipHawk’s TMS product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, operational workflows, and product data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and UX teams throughout the product development lifecycle, from discovery through release.
  • Support product discovery, testing, and validation to ensure new features solve real customer problems.
  • Develop a strong understanding of shipping workflows, carrier integrations, rate shopping, label generation, and transportation operations.
  • Partner with customer success, implementation, and support teams to investigate product issues and prioritize enhancements.
  • Track product performance, adoption, and customer feedback to evaluate the impact of new features.
  • Assist with product launches, documentation, and internal enablement to ensure successful feature adoption.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in shipping and transportation management.

About You

  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or a related role within a technology company.
  • Experience with or strong interest in transportation management, shipping software, logistics, or supply chain technology.
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS products and agile software development processes.
  • Ability to translate customer needs and business problems into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and learning about APIs, integrations, and complex software workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and motivated to grow into a strategic product management role.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), multi-carrier shipping platforms, or parcel shipping technology.
  • Familiarity with carrier APIs, shipping rates, tracking, or fulfillment workflows.
  • Experience working with ecommerce platforms, ERP systems, or third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Experience using product management and analytics tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Previous experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment.

Why ShipHawk

  • Help shape innovative shipping technology used by growing businesses.
  • Gain hands-on product management experience with mentorship from experienced product leaders.
  • Work with passionate teammates solving real operational problems.
  • Competitive compensation and equity.
  • Remote flexibility and collaborative team culture.
  • Clear opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
