The Role
We are looking for a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join the CloudLinux Infrastructure team. Our team is responsible for a wide range of tasks - from managing access and providing compute resources and internal services to developing infrastructure projects and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- User management, including onboarding, offboarding, and access management
- Provisioning new hosts and maintaining existing production servers across bare metal, public cloud, and private cloud environments
- Managing DNS records, domain registrations, renewals, transfers, and decommissioning
- Performing security-related tasks, including firewall configuration and regular operating system updates
- Monitoring infrastructure, responding to alerts and incidents, and ensuring minimal disruption to services
- Handling requests through the Jira ticketing system within agreed response times
- Creating new services and integrating them into the existing infrastructure based on specifications provided by development teams
- Developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate routine administration tasks
- Writing and maintaining clear documentation for services, tasks, and procedures
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of RHEL-based operating systems, including CentOS and AlmaLinux
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
- Experience with different compute environments, including bare metal servers, virtual machines, and containers
- Basic understanding of infrastructure and service monitoring
- Familiarity with Ansible or other configuration management tools
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- Ability and eagerness to learn new concepts quickly, investigate problems independently, and find effective solutions
