HeadQuarters is a global start-up that partners with US cannabis companies to provide support in finance, sales operations, and logistics.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Receivable (AR) Associate to join our AR team in a role designed to provide hands-on training and development.

During the first 2–4 months, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from our experienced AR team, learning our processes, systems, and best practices. You will initially support the team across different AR activities while building your knowledge, skills, and confidence.

Once we onboard a new client, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of their day-to-day AR activities and support the client directly, applying the knowledge and experience you gained during your training period.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated to build a career in Accounts Receivable and Finance. You don't need to have extensive AR experience — if you are detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, and have strong English and communication skills, we can teach you the rest.

The working hours for this role are 9 am - 5 pm EST (afternoon hours for candidates based in Europe).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the AR team with day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities while receiving training and guidance.
  • Assist with invoice follow-ups, payment tracking, account analysis, and outstanding balance follow-ups.
  • Review aging reports and help identify overdue or outstanding balances requiring attention.
  • Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances once you begin supporting a client directly.
  • Learn and follow client-specific processes, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate records and document AR activities.
  • Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate them when necessary.
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency, business impact, and client needs.
  • Adapt to different clients, processes, and systems as business needs evolve.
  • Communicate information clearly, concisely, and professionally, both internally and with clients.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and confidence working with data.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field.
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Motivated, organized, and eager to learn new processes and systems.
  • Ability to adapt to new tools, workflows, and client requirements.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, Customer Support, or a related field is not required, but can be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AR processes, accounting concepts, QBO, ERP, CRM, or other financial systems will be considered a plus.

Key Skills & Qualities

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • Quick learner who adapts easily
  • Organized and proactive
  • Clear and professional communicator
  • Collaborative and team-oriented

Most importantly, you don't need to know everything from day one. We are looking for someone with the right mindset, attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn — our AR team will provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Benefits

  • Work fully remotely in a flexible and collaborative environment
  • Learn from experienced AR professionals through hands-on training and mentorship
  • Build your career in Accounts Receivable with opportunities to take ownership and support U.S. clients

Our Values

We are guided by curiosity, collaboration, and persistence. We seek to understand deeply, work collectively to solve complex challenges, and remain resilient in pursuit of meaningful, long-term impact. These principles shape how we operate as a team and how we support the success of our clients.

Headquarters (HQ) is a premier, enterprise-grade financial operations and multi-entity cash management platform engineered to orchestrate massive-scale capital-intelligence ecosystems and frictionless corporate banking workflows. Operating as the essential "financial infrastructure layer" for modern web3, tech-forward, and digital-native businesses, the platform eliminates the complex operational friction of traditional, legacy treasury models—which frequently suffer from fragmented multi-bank silos, manual fiat-to-crypto accounting bottlenecks, and high-risk reconciliation pipelines—by seamlessly deploying advanced programmatic liquidity controls, real-time capital telemetry, and unified dashboard tracking. Moving beyond rigid legacy treasury aggregator paradigms, Headquarters empowers fast-growing startups, international web3 protocol teams, and large digital enterprises to dynamically synchronize their cross-border payments, payroll rails, and real-time expense reporting with elite, scalable, and audit-ready precision. Under the hood, their sophisticated proprietary operational infrastructure—bolstered by automated ledger entry resolution, secure multi-region bank integration, and deep domain expertise in financial compliance—natively manages multi-currency cash flows, automated invoice processing, and institutional financial reporting, providing the necessary operational foundation to support the modern, high-velocity digital economy. What sets Headquarters apart is its uncompromising dedication to complete lifecycle financial automation; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive, highly technical bookkeeping demands and accessible, high-velocity API-driven executive interfaces, the firm enables global commercial organizations to radically accelerate their corporate financial planning velocity, eliminate systemic reporting bottlenecks, and build an unassailable foundation for continuous commercial growth and asset protection in the modern, AI-transformed global financial landscape.
