Huzzle is an AI-talent marketplace connecting pre-vetted remote talent with VC-backed startups and SMBs. Ranked among the fastest-growing companies in the UK (2026), the team spans ~40 people across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

About The Role

The company operates on internal tools built in-house with AI, used daily by the entire team. This role involves owning these tools—managing bugs, prioritizing features, and ensuring they align with business needs while delivering a seamless user experience.

This is a product-first role as much as an engineering role. While coding is straightforward with AI tools, the focus is on strategic decision-making: identifying what to build, why it matters, and ensuring the tools are intuitive and enjoyable to use.

You won’t write everything from scratch, but you must deeply understand the underlying systems to anticipate risks (e.g., unintended breakages) and make informed trade-offs.

You’ll collaborate closely with the COO and CCO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the bug and feature queue for internal tools, triaging requests based on business impact, fixing issues, and shipping updates.
  • Engage directly with end-users to uncover pain points before designing solutions.
  • Optimize the user experience end-to-end, proactively addressing confusion or inefficiencies—even if unrequested.
  • Leverage AI coding tools to resolve bugs and implement small features, with rigorous testing before deployment.
  • Anticipate systemic risks (e.g., cascading failures) and flag potential issues preemptively.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to streamline future fixes.
  • Over time, lead larger projects that enhance operational efficiency across the business.

Requirements

  • Business acumen: Prioritize initiatives that drive measurable outcomes (e.g., ARR, efficiency gains), not just technical feasibility.
  • Product sense: User-centric mindset with a keen eye for poor UX and a passion for refining workflows.
  • Proven track record: Built side projects, internal tools, or apps (AI-assisted development is encouraged).
  • Technical fundamentals: Familiarity with databases, APIs, frontend/backend integration, and dependency management.
  • Rigorous testing culture: Self-audit code and avoid shipping untested or misunderstood changes.
  • Strong written communication: Async collaboration via Slack is the primary mode of interaction.
  • Proactive, high-energy: Own your workflow and anticipate next steps without micromanagement.
  • 1–3 years of experience; startup, product, or consulting backgrounds are a plus but not required.
  • Experience with AI coding assistants like Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Prior experience in startups or recruiting/marketplace businesses.

Benefits

  • Fully remote.
  • Direct access to founders and insights into scaling a high-growth company.
  • Immediate ownership: The tools you maintain are critical to daily operations.
