Position Overview
We are seeking a highly sophisticated, commercially minded Industry Strategy Lead to join our core global Growth division in a full-time remote capacity within Newfoundland, Canada. Reporting directly to the Director of Industry Strategy & Transformation, this high-leverage operator role offers a senior placement with direct exposure to founder-led mentorship and core revenue account owners. Part strategist, part operator, and part competitor, you will claim individual accountability for injecting elite strategic execution into CoLab’s largest seven-figure enterprise deals. Moving far beyond abstract advisory checklists, you will lead high-cadence stakeholder workshops, navigate complex political corporate environments, and position CoLab as the premier engineering transformation partner of choice for global VPs of Engineering, CEOs, and CFOs.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Deal Strategy Curation (50%): Co-own and drive the end-to-end commercial strategy across CoLab’s most critical global opportunities, partnering tightly with revenue stakeholders to define clear pathways to close.
- Executive Transformation Workshops: Run interactive customer workshops that uncover operational friction, align multi-stakeholder buying groups across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and procurement, and build urgency.
- Value Case Pressure Testing: Evaluate, refine, and pressure-test business cases generated by account executives, ensuring platform capabilities are tied natively to measurable engineering outcomes and cost-reduction metrics.
- High-Impact Deck Curation: Author and design clean, compelling executive narratives, critical business cases, and enterprise deal decks under pressure to move multi-tier corporate buying groups forward.
- Revenue Enablement & Playbooks (30%): Architect and ship targeted sales strategies and playbook contents to accelerate the broader revenue organization’s expansion into entirely new industrial manufacturing verticals.
- Winning Pattern Scaling: Translate successful regional deployment patterns into repeatable content, cross-functional sales training modules, and commercial toolkits to optimize team-wide velocity.
- Cross-Functional Product Influence (20%): Synthesize raw customer signals from strategic accounts into structured product feedback, helping core Engineering and Product squads reflect enterprise priorities on the roadmap.
- Concept Validation & Trends Tracking: Validate upcoming software capabilities with key customer advocates, providing boots-on-the-ground insights regarding market trends, process drag, and strategic industry themes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven professional history running advanced business development, enterprise software sales strategy, management consulting operations, or engineering transformation initiatives.
- Direct operational exposure working inside manufacturing, product development, heavy machinery design, or industrial engineering environments, with an absolute capacity to spot process breakdown layers.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a demonstrated capability to translate complex technical software features into concrete financial business outcomes that resonate with C-suite executives.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication mechanics, highlighting a native ability to present concisely without filler and construct clean, high-signal presentation collateral.
- High emotional intelligence and a sharp context-switching capacity, shifting seamlessly from board-level value conversations to low-level workflow mapping sessions back-to-back.
- Demonstrated proficiency leveraging modern generative AI platforms as a force multiplier to accelerate market research, compress timelines, and sharpen enterprise messaging.
- Location Context: Full-time remote parameters open exclusively to qualified go-to-market and industry strategy specialists based permanently within Newfoundland (NL), Canada to execute from home.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Founder exposure—historical experience gained through mentorship from a company founder, time spent operating inside an early founding team, or a seat close enough to executive leadership to see how complex decisions are made.
- Prior experience managing large-scale, seven-figure enterprise sales cycles or account growth playbooks for a high-velocity B2B SaaS platform.
- Familiarity with digital collaboration models, design review lifecycles, CAD software workflows, or PLM data tracking architectures.
- A disciplined, competitive mentality that runs at a high operational cadence, taking process losses personally enough to adapt while maintaining momentum.
What We Offer
- The exceptional professional canvas to directly direct, shape, and deploy the commercial strategy driving AI adoption for the world’s most prominent mechanical engineering teams.
- Highly competitive, capability-calibrated baseline salary structures supplemented by an impactful path for rapid career acceleration and high-level corporate exposure.
- Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering total lifestyle flexibility, high execution trust, and zero physical office geographical friction inside Newfoundland.
- Immediate eligibility to access meaningful corporate stock option allocations, sharing directly in the financial upside of our accelerating global success.
- Comprehensive health care provisions, balanced vacation structures, and paid family leave frameworks (encompassing maternity, paternity, and caregiver time-off periods).
- Participation in elite, twice-yearly physical company retreats hosted in inspiring global locations to brainstorm, align on shared wins, and connect face-to-face.
