About the role

You'll drive LemFi's expansion across Ghanaian communities in the United States and Canada. This is a growth role built on travel, community, and hands-on execution. You'll spend 3 to 5 days every few weeks in a new US or Canadian city, representing LemFi at Ghanaian community events, building partnerships, and accelerating user acquisition. You're not running growth from a desk. You're embedded in the communities we serve, acting as both a strategic thinker and a ground-level operator. You'll own growth outcomes for your assigned markets, working closely with Growth, Marketing, Product, and Operations while serving as the internal voice of the user.

What you'll build and own

  • Travel across the USA and Canada 3 to 5 days every few weeks, establishing on-the-ground presence in new cities. Attend community events, build and expand LemFi's community network, network with local leaders and organizations, and grow relationships.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive user acquisition strategies tailored to Ghanaian ex-pat communities in the US and Canada. Own growth targets for assigned markets and optimize campaigns using data and insights.

  • Lead community-driven initiatives to build trust, awareness and advocacy for LemFi. Organize and participate in local events, meetups and forums. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and grassroots partners.

  • Identify, negotiate and manage partnerships with relevant organizations and businesses to accelerate user growth. Ensure partnerships deliver mutual value and measurable outcomes.

  • Conduct ongoing market research to understand user needs, behaviors and preferences. Provide actionable insights to Product and Marketing teams. Serve as the internal voice of the user, representing community perspectives in decision-making.

Your experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in fast-paced environments with a background in growth, sales, marketing or similar.

  • Deep understanding of the Ghanaian community in the United States and Canada. You're culturally fluent and comfortable immersing yourself in new cultural environments.

  • Proven ability to work against targets and deliver measurable results. You're motivated by ambitious goals and comfortable being measured against clear KPIs.

  • Strong data-driven mindset. You interpret data, track performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders. You're a persuasive communicator who can influence partners and leaders.

  • Entrepreneurial and tenacious. You take ownership, push through obstacles and find ways to win. Biased to action, you think critically and move quickly.

  • Self-motivated and effective working independently and in remote environments. You're willing to travel extensively and work occasional weekends to support market growth.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience launching or scaling ventures in new markets.

  • Background in fintech, payments or diaspora-focused products.

  • Established network within Ghanaian diaspora communities.
