Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, channel-fluent, and data-driven Google Ads / PPC Strategist (eCommerce/DTC) to manage, scale, and optimize an active multi-tenant media portfolio under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open across Australia. In this high-leverage commercial acquisition seat, you will report directly to the Head of Google, acting as a principal portfolio manager responsible for engineering automated conversion loops across search and shopping engines. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated customer service queues, entry-level social media posting, or standard layout styling edits, you will run an active audience segmentation, algorithmic bidding calibration, and conversion rate maximization laboratory. Partnering directly beside distributed visual creators, web conversion engineers, and product specialists, you will translate multi-million dollar ad spend assets into predictable commercial pipelines. This position requires an acquisition veteran with 2-4+ years of digital agency history who handles e-commerce metrics fluidly natively using Google Ads, SEO, and Lead Generation primitives, commands complete operational intimacy with multi-layered product feeds, and conducts client-facing presentations with absolute confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Google Ads Portfolio Governance: Architect, deploy, and monitor scalable paid advertising campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max (PMax), Display, Demand Gen, and Video channels natively utilizing Google Ads frameworks.
  • Day-to-Day Account Health Control: Hold absolute technical ownership over budget management, daily spend pacing, margin optimization, and proactive data diagnostics across your entire client roster.
  • ECommerce Engine Customization: Structure, calibrate, and release advanced feed-based architectures, targeted asset groups, and precise bidding logic trees to ensure alignment with retail ROI targets.
  • Search Visibility Optimization: Conduct rigorous, data-supported keyword research, ongoing intent mapping, and negative matching to protect client visibility and eliminate ad waste natively deploying SEO methods.
  • A/B Conversion Experimentation: Formulate and run continuous testing frameworks, evaluating variations across ad copies, bidding configurations, and multi-tenant custom landing pages natively leveraging Lead Generation best practices.
  • Product Data Feed Engineering: Build, manage, and scale optimized product documentation matrices across external orchestration applications, explicitly deploying tools like DataFeedWatch and Google Merchant Center.
  • Multimedia Strategy Alignment: Collaborate close-knit next to internal visual creators to storyboard, brief, and coordinate high-converting digital assets and short-form video hooks.
  • Insight-Led Strategy Reporting: Prepare clear, scannable performance intelligence telemetry reports, leading client-facing briefing calls and internal strategy sessions with absolute professional confidence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2–4 years of proven, successful professional digital marketing experience, with a documented history managing hand-on paid acquisition media inside a fast-paced agency or multi-client eCommerce startup.
  • Expert PPC Performance Command: Meticulous operational literacy balancing cross-channel media spend parameters explicitly across Google Search, Shopping, Video/YouTube, and Performance Max (PMax) environments.
  • Demonstrated capability managing active consumer ad spend budgets, displaying strong analytical instincts to translate data trends into actionable tactical campaign alterations.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication strengths in English, with complete comfort managing direct corporate client relations and holding your own on strategic calls.
  • Shift & Schedule Alignment: Absolute readiness to work flexibly across Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT), alongside the occasional capacity to support client syncs during US business timelines when required.
  • Location Context: Position operates under 100% remote parameters open exclusively to qualified performance marketing and media buying authorities residing permanently within Australia (with strategic hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Brisbane).

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Possess active ecosystem credentials, such as official Google Ads Certifications spanning Search, Shopping, or Performance Max.
  • Direct operational intimacy managing cross-channel retail platforms, conversion tracking loops, or integration setups natively inside Google Tag Manager.
  • Prior experience executing campaigns for high-growth consumer brands across AU or US regional markets, with familiarity managing Meta or TikTok ad structures considered an asset.
