Qumulo's cloud data platform manages exabytes of the world's most demanding data, unifying files, objects, and every workload across edge, core, and cloud—serving industries like Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports.

About the Position:

Qumulo is expanding its global Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports (MEGS) business and is seeking an experienced leader to drive its sales team. This role involves setting the go-to-market strategy for the vertical while actively participating in deals, engaging with CTOs, and collaborating with broadcast, production, and infrastructure leaders at studios, broadcasters, post houses, sports leagues, and teams.

Qumulo’s platform enables distributed creative teams to access a single shared copy of media in real-time, whether on-premises or across any cloud. The company has been a Magic Quadrant Leader for File & Object Storage Platforms for 7 consecutive years, won Best of Show at NAB 2026, and had a strong presence at IBC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow the global revenue for the MEGS business, including forecasting, coverage planning, and headcount management.
  • Manage the MEGS vertical as an independent business unit, including P&L responsibility.
  • Hire, retain, and coach a team of senior account executives, leveraging a player-coach model to navigate long enterprise sales cycles in a niche market.
  • Build and nurture executive relationships with studios, broadcasters, leagues, and teams, actively selling new-logo opportunities.
  • Drive complex hardware/software, cloud, and hybrid cloud sales, collaborating with OEMs, resellers, and cloud partners.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align customer needs with the product roadmap and execute targeted account-based marketing.
  • Serve as Qumulo’s primary representative in the MEGS vertical and at industry events like NAB, SVG, and SMPTE.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • At least 10+ years of experience selling complex technology (e.g., storage, cloud, infrastructure, data management, video, streaming, broadcast, or media asset management) to sports, media, broadcast, entertainment, or production organizations.
  • Direct experience managing high-performance sales teams using a hands-on player-coach model, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas.
  • A history of securing major new logos through generated demand, not just partner-led or inbound pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of broadcast and production workflows, from ingest to playback, with a focus on media workflows.
  • Established relationships with global media, entertainment, sports leagues/teams, or broadcast organizations.
  • Willingness to travel across North America and globally for client meetings and industry events.
  • Bonus points for involvement in NAB, SVG, or SMPTE, or experience selling file or unstructured data storage solutions.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Qumulo specializes in simplifying data management for enterprises struggling with siloed, fragmented storage solutions.
