Sardine is rapidly acquiring new customers and executing on an ambitious roadmap. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Expansion, the General Manager - Mexico will own Sardine's market strategy, revenue growth, and customer success in Mexico. This person will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Account Management, and Partnerships to establish Sardine as the leading fraud prevention platform in the market, build strategic relationships with banks and payment networks, and represent the voice of Mexican customers within the broader organization.
What you’ll be doing:
Market Strategy & Entry
Define and prioritize Mexico market entry and expansion priorities based on regulatory readiness, fraud landscape, and addressable market size.
Partner with regional Sales, Marketing, Product, and Account Management leaders to develop market-specific strategies aligned to Mexico's financial infrastructure and compliance environment.
Influence regional organizational planning and support hiring as the Mexico business scales.
Revenue & Pipeline
Partner with regional sales leaders to accelerate Mexico ARR and new logo acquisition by supporting strategic opportunities, shaping market strategy, and providing fraud expertise throughout the sales cycle.
GTM Strategy
Influence regional GTM strategy in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Product. Leverage Sardine's Sonar consortium network as a differentiator in prospect and partner conversations.
Establish operational playbooks for how Sardine enters, scales, and retains customers in Mexico.
Develop strategic relationships with Mexican banks, payment networks (e.g., SPEI, CoDi), and system integrators to accelerate distribution and reduce time-to-revenue in the market.
Customer Success & Retention
Partner with Account Management on strategic enterprise accounts, executive business reviews, and expansion opportunities.
Represent the voice of Mexican customers by translating customer feedback, fraud trends, and regional requirements into product and market strategy.
What you’ll need:
8+ years of experience in a GTM, general management, or leadership role within fintech, payments, or fraud/risk technology, ideally with direct exposure to the Mexican market.
Established network of relationships with banks, payment networks, regulators, and system integrators in Mexico.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building go-to-market strategy in a new or scaling market.
Deep understanding of Mexico's regulatory, compliance, and fraud landscape.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience partnering across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
Fluent in Spanish and English; willingness to travel within the region as needed.
