Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Freelance Market Research Analyst - Indonesia to join our core regional business intelligence division in a part-time remote capacity across Indonesia. Operating on a project-based, freelance contract layout, you will claim individual strategic accountability for contributing to regional and international research initiatives, serving as our primary localized quantitative anchor. Shifting entirely away from simple clerical entry or passive document sorting, you will actively lead hybrid field and desk-based research methodologies, executing retail data acquisition streams and analyzing sector capacity pools independently. This high-responsibility seat requires a commercially savvy researcher with a strong consulting background who conducts qualitative industry interviews fluidly, solves open-ended market sizing estimations gracefully, and translates raw metrics into client-ready insights under tight project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary B2B Qualitative Interviewing: Initiate and execute high-touch corporate outreach, carrying out trade interviews with companies and sector associations to extract qualitative insights natively using Cold Calling parameters.
  • Secondary and Desk Research Governance: Lead and manage comprehensive secondary desk research into target consumer trends, industrial capacities, company directories, and competitive benchmarking variables natively utilizing Research analytics methodologies.
  • Retail Audit and Store Visits Execution: Conduct physical or digital store visits and structured retail checks to collect brand information, pricing indices, shelf allocations, and product specifications.
  • Data Analysis and Market Sizing Calculations: Process and analyze extensive datasets, executing mathematical calculations, cross-references, and market size evaluations with absolute numeracy precision.
  • Strategic Finding Interpretation: Deconstruct and interpret abstract research findings, transforming complex market metrics into clear, structured business insights and actionable client recommendations.
  • Client-Ready Deliverable Construction: Build, edit, and deliver professional, high-craft corporate reports, written analyses, quantitative databases, and presentation arrays inside Microsoft Office environments.
  • Workflow Guideline Adherence: Maintain uncompromised accuracy across all assigned project tasks, tracking data records rigorously in accordance with Euromonitor standards and project SLAs.
  • Asynchronous Stakeholder Coordination: Partner peer-to-peer alongside international project managers and local analytical cells to smoothly resolve research bottlenecks and verify source data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven professional history running advanced market research, corporate management consulting, quantitative business intelligence, field data acquisition, or strategic sector analysis.
  • Deep, authoritative technical command of primary research methodologies, showing a production-tested background conducting corporate interviews and outbound industry validation natively using Cold Calling best practices.
  • Expert-tier capability synthesizing messy quantitative data, cross-referencing information pools, and modeling market share charts natively leveraging Research analytics principles.
  • Strong, professional software proficiency managing spreadsheets, building data tables, and generating slide narratives inside the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management traits, with a proven self-motivated ability to work independently and meet strict project deadlines within a remote home-office environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics in professional-fluent English, ensuring clear and effective cross-border business interaction; local language proficiency in Indonesian is a strong added advantage.
  • Location Context and Contract Model: Position open exclusively to qualified analysts based permanently and resident within **Indonesia** to execute project-based duties under a flexible, part-time freelance arrangement.
