Want to know if you're a match for this job?
A fast-growing, pre-seed healthtech SaaS company based in Miami is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their small, high-velocity team. This company builds an integrated platform that automates and streamlines staffing operations for healthcare groups — spanning payroll, scheduling, credentialing, performance tracking, and AI-powered clinical documentation for urgent cares and emergency departments.
In this role, you'll work directly at the intersection of engineering and customer success — translating clinical and operational needs into shipped software, and traveling on-site to work alongside customers. This is an ideal role for an early-career engineer who is a strong builder, communicates well, and thrives in a customer-facing environment.
This is a fully on-site role in Miami, FL. Candidates from anywhere in the US are welcome to apply — relocation support is available. Frequent domestic travel is required for customer engagements.
What You'll Do
- Build front-end and back-end features using TypeScript, React, Deno, Node.js, and SQL.
- Collaborate directly with customers (clinical and operational teams) to gather requirements and iterate rapidly on solutions.
- Deploy and operate services on AWS; troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Travel frequently for on-site customer engagements, implementations, and deployments.
- Contribute to product design and rapid prototyping — move ideas to shipped, reliable code quickly.
- Participate actively in team culture and help coordinate logistics during travel.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 0–1 years of professional software development experience (new graduates are welcome).
- Proficiency in full-stack TypeScript development (frontend and backend).
- Hands-on experience with React, Node.js, SQL, and AWS; familiarity with Deno is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll work face-to-face with customers regularly.
- Ability to ship reliable software quickly and independently.
- Willingness to relocate to Miami and travel frequently for customer engagements.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without employer-sponsored visa.
Nice to Have:
- Prior exposure to healthtech, clinical operations, or enterprise SaaS environments.
- Experience working in a customer-facing or consulting engineering role.
- High emotional maturity and collaborative mindset — comfortable working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $70,000–$80,000 (slightly negotiable)
- Total compensation target: $120,000–$150,000, inclusive of equity and covered travel-related expenses
- Housing, food, and transportation covered during customer travel engagements
- Equity participation
