Role Overview

The Field Engineer’s primary role is to serve as a technical advisor and champion for CodeRabbit customers. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to help customers understand the value of CodeRabbit. This role is ideal for those who are technically curious and passionate about building AI-powered solutions for the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with Account Executives to understand customer requirements and develop customized technical solutions.

• Translate business objectives into technical requirements and solution designs.

• Drive compelling demos and impactful Proof of Values (PoVs) to showcase the value of the CodeRabbit platform.

• Help respond to security questionnaires.

• Provide feedback and collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to address customer issues and improve the product experience.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI-powered development tools and platforms.

• Contribute to the improvement of internal tools and documentation, including playbooks, guides, and best practices.

• Support the transition from pre-sales to post-sales to ensure a smooth customer onboarding experience.

What You Will Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, with 2+ years in a dynamic, fast-paced startup-like environment.

• Experience working with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer needs simultaneously.

• Strong experience with software development tools and platforms.

• Comfortable working with the command line.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong sense of ownership, self-motivation, and eagerness to acquire new skills and solve new problems.

• Willingness to mentor peers through trainings and shadowing.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
