Cognite
View Company ProfileCognite (operating at cognite.com) is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company specializing in industrial data and AI solutions engineered for scaling digital transformation in heavy-asset industries. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, Cognite addresses the challenge of siloed and inaccessible industrial data by providing a unified, trustworthy platform for industrial internet of things (IIoT) applications. Under the hood, the platform integrates disparate data sources—such as sensors, operational systems, and enterprise databases—into a single, contextualized framework, enabling real-time analysis, AI-driven insights, and seamless visualization. This allows energy, manufacturing, and power & utilities companies to achieve step-changes in productivity, safety, and operational performance. Backed by significant investment, including a $150 million funding round from TCV that elevated its valuation to $1.6 billion, Cognite has emerged as a unicorn in the industrial software space, with a reported $170 million in annual recurring revenue and a valuation of $3.1 billion as of 2025.
