Your Impact at Starface
Starface is seeking a Director, Partnerships, Collabs, & PR to elevate the brand through culture, collaboration, meaningful relationships, and earned media. Reporting to the SVP of Brand, this role involves leading the sourcing, development, and management of high-impact partnerships across talent, brands, licensed IP, and experiential moments. You’ll also oversee day-to-day relationships with the PR agency.
You’ll need to stay plugged into trends across music, entertainment, fashion, beauty, and culture, leveraging strong industry relationships and sharp brand instincts to identify opportunities that align distinctly with Starface’s identity. Your responsibilities include bringing new ideas and partners to the table, managing inbound opportunities, structuring deals, and ensuring successful launches for partnerships, events, or campaigns.
The ideal candidate is highly connected, commercially savvy, exceptionally organized, and comfortable balancing relationship-building with operational management of complex partnerships, events, and PR programs. You should understand how talent relationships, brand collaborations, and licensing deals function, from initial conversations through contract, launch, and recap.

What You’ll Count On
Partnerships & Talent
- Develop the partnership strategy and identify new opportunities across brand collaborations, talent, ambassador programs, retail partnerships, licensed IP, and experiential/cultural moments, ensuring alignment with Starface’s positioning, growth priorities, and consumer trends.
- Evaluate inbound requests from talent, agencies, brands, retailers, and other potential partners, identifying the strongest fits for Starface.
- Build and maintain direct relationships with talent, managers, agents, agencies, brands, and other strategic partners, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Support the negotiation and structuring of partnership, talent, and licensing deals, including scope, economics, rights, usage, exclusivity, approvals, and deliverables, in partnership with the SVP of Brand.
Deal, Licensing & Partnership Operations
- Draft and redline partnership and talent contracts, routing agreements through Legal review and VP approval before execution.
- Manage partnerships from signed agreement through launch, including partner communication, check-ins, timelines, approvals, asset collection, and tracking/contractual deliverables.
- Identify and address partnership risks, execution gaps, and missed deadlines.
- Administer licensing agreement operations, including partner approvals, product/asset requirements, line sheets, retail listing coordination, and post-launch reporting.
- Maintain a repository of active and past partnership terms, rates, rights, deliverables, performance, and renewal opportunities.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Own the collaboration and partnership calendar, sequencing launches, activations, contractual milestones, and renewal dates in alignment with Retail and Brand Marketing calendars.
- Partner closely with Brand Marketing, Creative, Social, Influencer, Product, Retail, Operations, Legal, and external partners to ensure timely delivery of assets, content, products, and programs.
- Manage partnership and event budgets, vendors, invoices, and payments in coordination with Finance.
- Build and share recap decks with leadership, tracking partnership and event deliverables, performance, outcomes, and key learnings.
PR
- Set PR strategy and priorities with the agency and manage the relationship day-to-day, including scope of work, campaign briefs, asset needs, deliverables, timelines, and escalations.
- Track agency deliverables and press coverage against the campaign calendar, flagging gaps or missed deliverables to the VP of Brand Marketing.
- Support the preparation of press releases, statements, messaging, and other materials ahead of agency distribution.
- Help prepare leadership and spokespeople for interviews, podcasts, and media appearances.
This Role Is For You If
- You have 8+ years of experience leading talent, brand, or entertainment partnerships from sourcing and deal development through execution, with a strong understanding of deal and licensing mechanics.
- You have genuine relationships and credibility across music, culture, entertainment, fashion, beauty, and talent circles.
- You possess strong commercial judgment and contract, vendor, and budget management skills, and are comfortable supporting deal negotiations.
- You have experience managing or briefing an external PR agency and holding partners accountable to scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- You’re a natural relationship builder who can confidently work with talent, agents, managers, agencies, brand executives, vendors, and senior external partners.
- You’re highly organized and deadline-driven, managing multiple active deals, launches, budgets, events, and partner relationships simultaneously.
- You can balance creative instincts with commercial and operational thinking.
- You’re proactive, resourceful, and comfortable owning day-to-day execution in a fast-moving, collaborative environment while deferring strategic decisions to leadership.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and a sharp instinct for what feels relevant, differentiated, and uniquely Starface.
