The Director of Strategic Accounts (DSA) is an individual contributor role responsible for managing primary relationships between Flexe and highly strategic customer partnerships. The DSA develops a deep understanding of the customer’s supply chain and business objectives, designing strategic account plans to drive long-term growth, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction. This role also involves collaborating within Flexe’s internal organization, influencing and executing effectively in a matrixed environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary advocate for the client, understanding business needs and implementing effective solutions.
- Build strong, cross-functional relationships with all levels of a customer organization.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and overall account profitability.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the client’s supply chain and industry.
- Organize and lead strategic business reviews with clients to review services, develop consensus on short- and long-term initiatives, and create new growth opportunities.
- Understand the competitive landscape and market insights, communicating effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Own and be accountable for revenue projections for the account portfolio.
- Define revenue growth targets for the account portfolio.
- Drive solution concepts, design, and vision, relaying this vision to both clients/partners and within the organization.
- Utilize data and scorecards to review trends and develop actionable outcomes.
- Facilitate contract negotiation and pricing with clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales within the supply chain/logistics industry.
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
- Industry certification preferred, such as APICS (CSCP), SCPro, or similar.
- Expert presentation skills.
- Proficient keyboarding skills and computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, and related programs.
- Experience in negotiating customer contracts and pricing.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
