By transforming manual, fragmented legal tasks into highly intelligent, automated solutions, Onit’s state-of-the-art software ecosystem streamlines Enterprise Legal Management (ELM), complex matter workflows, corporate spend analytics, and full-lifecycle contract management (CLM) for legal departments worldwide. Currently executing an active platform transition into an AI-native ecosystem anchored on its Unity architecture, Onit unifies legal teams to operate faster, smarter, and more strategically. Built on a culture of bold thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and continuous market modernization, the organization provides high-agency corporate leaders with an uncompromised remote canvas to build standout brand narratives and scale category-defining growth safely across international networks.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Director of Brand Marketing to join our core centralized Marketing division in a full-time remote capacity across the United States. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you will step up to claim individual strategic accountability for owning, consolidating, and evolving Onit’s global brand, corporate identity, and category reputation. Shifting completely away from routine lead processing or product-level feature positioning, you will lead Engine 1 (Brand) to establish the master narrative that makes Onit the trusted name legal ops buyers turn to before a sales consultation ever begins. This role requires an enterprise technology marketing veteran with 8+ years of B2B SaaS background who shapes defensible market positioning fluidly, manages public relations and agency budgets smoothly under fast-paced parameters, and commands the brand voice through a major AI platform transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Narrative and Corporate Positioning: Formulate and govern Onit’s core category story, defining what the platform is, what manual frameworks it replaces, and why its technological differentiation remains defensible against AI-native entrants.
- AI Search and Discovery Layer Auditing: Optimize and expand Onit’s brand citation share, tracking and managing corporate visibility metrics inside emerging AI search engines and LLM models natively using SEO strategies.
- Always-On Thought Leadership Management: Architect and scale the internal thought leadership system, shifting from episodic campaign spikes to an always-on, culture-led organic growth engine natively leveraging Social Media Manager channels.
- Corporate Identity and Experience Design: Own Onit’s visual architecture, conversational voice, and design language, directing the web and creative functions to ensure the company website serves as a standout brand expression.
- Tier-One Brand Channel Orchestration: Direct brand presence and user experiences at premium industry events, leading the OnPoint customer community as an active touchpoint for corporate legal ops buyers.
- Public Relations and Earned Media Governance: Oversee global PR initiatives and earned media outreach, continuously growing brand awareness, tracking industry sentiment, and scaling share of voice against named competitors.
- Cross-Functional Strategic Alignment: Partner peer-to-peer alongside Product Marketing and Revenue Marketing cells, supplying the foundational brand story that product messaging carries into active customer demand programs.
- Brand Team Building and Consolidation: Consolidate distributed contributors into a dedicated, high-performing brand function, directly managing in-house PR, social, content, and design talent while controlling agency and vendor budgets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of verified professional history running advanced brand marketing, corporate communications management, B2B enterprise SaaS marketing, or GTM consulting through real market shifts.
- Demonstrated history leading a corporate brand function, featuring a robust personal portfolio of authored narratives, engineered brand identities, and high-impact reputation work.
- Deep, authoritative technical command of organic growth systems, public relations execution, and corporate media mapping natively utilizing SEO parameters to drive visibility.
- Expert-tier familiarity configuring, tracking, and scaling executive thought leadership networks and organic content distribution pipelines natively leveraging Social Media Manager toolsets.
- Proven capacity to build, lead, and develop creative teams, with a record of managing external marketing agencies and vendor budgets effectively.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication mechanics, showing strong executive presence and a diplomatic ability to enforce a strict brand standard across multiple teams without blurring scope lines.
- Location Context: Parameters open exclusively to qualified corporate marketing leaders based permanently and resident within the **United States** to execute brand operations under a 100% remote home-office model.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior commercial marketing history operating within an enterprise legal technology platform, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software firm, procurement SaaS provider, or highly regulated corporate fintech network.
- Fluency in how generative artificial intelligence and large language models are transforming both B2B software storytelling and the broader digital discovery landscape.
- An outcome-driven personal philosophy that operates comfortably through market ambiguity, maintains an insatiable bias for speed, and values high-volume, experiment-driven output.
What We Offer
- Calibrated U.S. Salaried Baseline: An attractive full-time baseline salary scale structured transparently between $150,000 – $175,000 USD per year, calibrated precisely to evaluate your brand authority and narrative speed, supplemented by an annual discretionary **15% performance bonus plan**.
- The exceptional professional canvas to directly direct, shape, and engineer the foundational category narratives and brand systems establishing an AI-native legal operations leader as a definitive global powerhouse.
- Profound work-from-home remote parameters providing an elite digital workplace, complete scheduling trust, and zero physical geographic office commuting friction across America.
- Access to an outstanding investment retirement safety net, offering a **401(k) program with a 100% match on the first 3% and a 50% match on the next 2%** of employee contributions.
- Immediate eligibility to enroll in premium, comprehensive health protection options, including a choice of three Medical plans, Dental, and Vision insurance, featuring employer HSA contributions for HDHP enrollees.
- Excellent rest and family-first calibration benefits, including **Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO)**, 7 dedicated sick days, 9 paid company holidays, exceptional paid leave for birth/non-birth parents and caregivers, and comprehensive surrogacy/adoption reimbursement.
