Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Developer Relations Engineer to join our core global Marketing division in a full-time remote capacity within Germany, Austria, or Poland. Serving as our regional Storyblok and headless architecture authority, you will claim individual accountability for reducing onboarding friction, driving product adoption, and technical support across the developer ecosystem. This high-agency seat blends advanced full-stack JavaScript engineering with content creation, public speaking, and community moderation. Shifting completely away from passive social management, you will be responsible for translating complex API capabilities into beautiful code samples, conducting deep-dive technical workshops, and contributing code fixes directly back to Storyblok’s public open-source registries. This role demands a confident communicator who excels at bridging frontend frameworks with server-side logic and proactively advocates for product roadmap enhancements based on frontline developer insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Developer Community Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact across regional developer networks, partner agencies, and enterprise customers to streamline headless architecture implementation.
- Technical Content Curation: Author comprehensive, high-signal technical documentation, long-form tutorials, code walkthroughs, and technical blog posts to help external builders realize value out of Storyblok features.
- Multi-Framework Prototype Engineering: Program, test, and maintain sample applications, code fragments, starter kits, and lightweight developer prototypes natively using modern frontend components like React or Next.js.
- Open Source Registry Contributions: Diagnose, isolate, and document technical bugs across Storyblok’s endpoints, contributing code enhancements and optimization patches to public open-source SDK repositories.
- Multi-Channel Community Engagement: Monitor, moderate, and engage with the external engineering ecosystem across distributed developer channels, including Discord, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Dev.to registries.
- Public Speaking and Representation: Represent Storyblok authoritatively at major regional tech conferences, industry exhibitions, and online meetups, leading presentation tracks, hosting technical webinars, and conducting live product demos.
- Roadmap and Documentation Influence: Synthesize developer data, tracking common setup hurdles, and partnering with product teams to structure the onboarding documentation strategy.
- API and Interface Integration: Assist external development partners to integrate data structures seamlessly by demonstrating a thorough command of consuming high-concurrency RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- AI-Driven Workflow Acceleration: Leverage advanced artificial intelligence tools and prompt assistants safely to accelerate documentation cycles, expand test content variations, and optimize personal operational velocity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of verified professional history running advanced web development, full-stack software engineering, library creation, or technical developer relations advocacy.
- Deep, production-tested architectural command of modern client-side software patterns, highlighting proficiency writing modular layouts natively inside React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Astro, or Svelte.
- Thorough operational knowledge of consuming and troubleshooting data endpoints via web-standard RESTful APIs (GraphQL mastery considered a plus).
- Demonstrated experience in public speaking, conducting live presentations, or organizing technical meetups and engineering community events.
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic logic, with an absolute capacity to debug complex third-party integration constraints independently.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics in fluent English, showing the capability to simplify abstract architectural concepts for multi-department stakeholders.
- Location Context: Parameters open exclusively to qualified technical advocates based permanently within Germany, Austria, or Poland to execute 100% remotely from home or within a funded co-working space.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior professional experience executing developer relations engineering, technical account success management, or developer support tiers for a major cloud SaaS or headless technology vendor.
- Hands-on background publishing polished technical documentation, developer tool training paths, or instructional video assets.
- Familiarity with enterprise application deployment environments, continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines, plugin systems, and web analytics tools.
- Active regional language capabilities, showcasing professional verbal proficiency in German or Polish.
What We Offer
- Flexible, Collective-Aligned Salary Grid: Employment is structured in full accordance with the automated data processing and IT collective wage agreement, entering at the ST1 tier (starting with €45,738 per year baseline), with higher capability-based adjustments calibrated to reward your actual experience.
- The exceptional professional canvas to directly direct, code-shape, and deploy the community frameworks driving headless CMS adoption for the world’s most innovative developer teams.
- Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering superior lifestyle flexibility, flexible schedules, and absolute work-life balance focus.
- Immediate eligibility to access a monthly remote work stipend covering home internet expenses and residential electricity costs.
- A comprehensive Home Office Equipment package provided at the start, encompassing a top-tier laptop, ergonomic keyboard, dedicated monitors, and subsequent furniture alignment funding post-onboarding.
- Participation in our Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP), enabling you to share directly in the financial upside of our growing valuation milestones.
- Generous leave allocations, featuring a robust sick leave benefit framework, parental leave, and **25 days of annual leave** plus local national holidays.
- Dedicated personal development funding allocations to cover advanced technical courses, educational books, and global tech conference materials.
- Access to elite annual international team-building trips, alongside structured quarterly and monthly online social get-togethers to maintain close human alignment.
