About the Role:

As a Developer Advocate at Zyte, you will bridge the gap between developers and our tools by connecting technical knowledge with practical solutions. You’ll focus on three key areas:

• Engage with developers at conferences, meetups, and events, delivering talks, workshops, and live demos.
• Build relationships with developers, event organizers, and technology partners, aligning Zyte’s offerings with their needs.
• Create tutorials, demos, videos, and technical resources to help developers integrate Zyte’s API and Scrapy into their projects, including LLM-powered applications and AI agents.
• Stay engaged with the developer community, gathering feedback to improve Zyte’s tools and resources.

Responsibilities:

• Represent Zyte at developer-focused events, podcasts, and webinars.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for speaking, sponsorships, partnerships, and community engagement.
• Develop and deliver engaging conference talks, workshops, and live demos.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, community leaders, and technology partners.
• Grow a network of independent advocates and support their engagement with Zyte.
• Engage with developers across social channels, forums, and technical communities.
• Create tutorials, videos, presentations, and code samples for developer adoption.
• Showcase practical solutions for web scraping and data extraction challenges.
• Write technical articles for Zyte’s blog and third-party publications.
• Collaborate with developer and open-source communities.
• Represent developer perspectives within marketing and the organization.
• Improve developer documentation and contribute to its enhancements.
• Track the impact of events and community activities to shape future initiatives.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in developer advocacy, community engagement, or related technical roles, with a proven following.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, web scraping, and data extraction.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Python.
• Interest in web data extraction and AI-first approaches.
• Passion for developers and helping them succeed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in public speaking.
• Proven experience working with communities, social media, and blogging.
• Background in community building and event hosting is a plus.
• Self-motivated, self-reliant, and capable of prioritizing tasks.
• Strong team player.
