About Augmodo
Augmodo builds AI for retail stores. Our wearable Smartbadge uses cameras and computer vision to map store shelves as associates work, giving retailers a live view of empty shelves, overstock, and planogram gaps. Our customers include Chemist Warehouse (CWH), Australia's largest pharmacy retailer.
About this engagement
We’re looking for an independent contractor to help with a short-term increase in data collection work. The current focus is accuracy visits: in-store checks that confirm what our AI sees on the shelf.
Visit volume has grown faster than our tools, so we need help with the hands-on tasks: scheduling visits, collecting visit data, and processing it into spreadsheets.
Scope of work
Each week, Augmodo provides visit targets and the required data format. You decide how and when to do the work to meet each week's deliverables, which are:
Schedule visits. Book accuracy visits with Augmodo's field vendors and taskers, following the weekly visit targets provided. Handle reschedules and cancellations.
Download visit data. Collect the data from each completed visit.
Process the data. Enter visit results and report spreadsheets, in the required format.
Hand off completed data. Deliver the finished spreadsheets on schedule and flag any visits that could not be completed.
The scope may also include ad hoc data collection projects, in the same capacity. These follow the same approach: Augmodo sets the targets and data format, and you deliver the completed data.
What you bring
Required
- Experience with scheduling, coordination, or high-volume data entry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort with Google Sheets (filters, lookups, basic formulas) and Google Drive
- Basic scheduling skills
- Clear, timely written communication
- Based in the US, with reliable availability during Pacific Time afternoons and evenings, when Australian stores open (roughly 2–8 pm PT, shifting about two hours later during US summer)
Nice to have
- Retail or merchandising experience
Position Details
Independent contractor (1099). Not eligible for employee benefits.
Rate: $25 per hour.
Hours: Estimated 30 to 38 hours per week, depending on visit volume. You set your own schedule.

Augmodo
View Company ProfileAugmodo (operating at augmodo.com) is a spatial AI platform engineered for real-time intelligence in the physical workforce. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Seattle, WA, Augmodo specializes in augmenting retail and broader physical environments with AI-driven tools that prioritize privacy and practicality. Unlike traditional tracking systems that prioritize surveillance, Augmodo’s solution focuses on enabling workers rather than monitoring them. Under the hood, the company deploys AI-powered SmartBadges—wearable devices that passively track shelf data on-premise, ensuring only relevant inventory and operational insights are processed. This allows retailers and logistics teams to optimize stock levels, reduce out-of-stock incidents, and enhance in-store experiences without compromising employee privacy. Backed by $58.8M in funding, including a $21M Series A round led by TQ Ventures—boosting its valuation to $350M—the startup has positioned itself as a leader in spatial computing for the physical workforce.
