As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly analytical Data Analyst who thrives at the intersection of marketing analytics and business intelligence. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our reporting is accurate, actionable, and client-ready.
About the Role
We're looking for a Data Analyst specializing in Looker and Marketing Analytics to bridge the gap between our data engineering team and our marketing operations team.
This is a highly hands-on role where you'll own the quality assurance of reporting, build dashboards, enhance LookML models, validate marketing data pipelines, and ensure stakeholders have reliable insights for decision-making.
This is not a general data analyst position. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of paid media performance, attribution modeling, marketing funnels, and campaign analytics, who can identify reporting issues before they reach clients.
The engagement begins with a 30-day contract with the opportunity to transition into an ongoing monthly retainer based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own quality assurance for all Looker dashboards and campaign forecast Explores before reports are shared with strategists or clients.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, attribution issues, and reporting inconsistencies using paid media expertise.
- Build and maintain new Looker dashboards based on evolving marketing reporting needs.
- Develop, update, and optimize LookML models, dimensions, measures, and reporting logic.
- Verify and maintain integrations between advertising platforms, CRM systems, and campaign data sources.
- Monitor data pipelines to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Marketing team and the Data Engineering team by scoping, prioritizing, and translating reporting requests.
- Produce clear, concise, plain-language performance summaries for both internal stakeholders and client-facing reports.
- Recommend improvements to reporting workflows, dashboard usability, and marketing analytics processes.
- Ensure data governance and reporting standards are consistently maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience owning or leading a Looker implementation or migration from end to end.
- Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining LookML.
- Solid understanding of paid media analytics, including:
- ROAS
- Attribution models
- Marketing funnels
- Channel taxonomy
- Campaign performance metrics
- Experience building scalable dashboards and reporting solutions in Looker.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage priorities across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating HubSpot data into reporting environments.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) session and attribution modeling.
- Familiarity with sponsored content, partnership marketing, or campaign reporting structures.
- Experience working alongside marketing operations or performance marketing teams.
- Experience with SQL and modern marketing data warehouses is a plus.
