As a Customer Success Manager at DBeaver, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ success and driving long-term growth through renewals and expansions. This role is a unique blend of traditional customer success and account management, requiring a proactive and results-oriented approach.

Location: This role will be based remotely in the United States, ideally based in Eastern or Central time zones to align with our global CSM team (or open to early morning hours).

What You’ll Do:

  • Proactively engage customers to ensure timely renewals and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and become a business partner within customer organizations to understand their evolving needs and align our solutions to meet their goals.
  • Drive key Customer Success metrics, including renewal retention rate, expansion dollars, and reducing churn, through effective relationship management and deal processing.

What You Bring:

  • Familiarity with sales processes, including negotiating, closing, and managing deals.
  • A proactive approach to identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Background in open-source technology sales or engagement.
  • Experience with HubSpot is a plus

*Skills Can Be Learned, But Passion Can’t: Don’t worry if your resume doesn’t tick every box. In this role, we value experience with building positive customer experiences, and with closing, upselling or expanding customer accounts. If you’re a quick learner with the drive to succeed, we encourage you to apply.

DBeaver (operating under dbeaver.io and dbeaver.com, legally DBeaver Corporation) is the premier, enterprise-grade universal database management platform, database IDE pioneer, and cross-platform SQL development powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, high-velocity data administration, schema modeling, and SQL query execution layer for developers, data engineers, and database administrators globally. Originally built in 2010 as a dedicated open-source hobby project by technical architect Serge Rider, the tool quickly achieved massive popularity in the database community before formalizing corporate operations under DBeaver Corporation, co-founded in 2017 by Serge Rider (CTO) and Tatiana Krupenya (CEO). The platform completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern multi-database administration—where development teams face complex, disjointed work environments using separate, vendor-specific GUI tools for relational and non-relational database management—by deploying a unified, highly adaptable developer environment. Moving far beyond traditional, single-dialect query clients, DBeaver natively unifies a universal SQL editor with autocomplete, a robust graphical data editor, live ER diagrams (Entity-Relationship diagrams), and automated data transfer, export, and import modules supporting over 100 distinct database dialects (including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2). Operating with deep open-source roots alongside premium commercial products, the enterprise offers DBeaver Community alongside commercial suites (DBeaver Lite, Enterprise, Ultimate, and Team Edition) which add native support for NoSQL platforms like MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis, direct cloud database authentications, advanced security protocols, and secure credential storage. Validating its strategic position in modern developer toolchains and enterprise IT operations, the organization secured a $6 million seed investment round led by Headline and supported by Prospective Technologies Venture Capital to scale its collaborative and cloud-native solutions. Under the hood, its technology framework utilizes Eclipse RCP architecture, JDBC and ODBC driver abstractions, secure SSH/SSL tunneling, and collaborative CloudBeaver engines designed to execute complex queries and manage multi-terabyte schema objects with absolute execution velocity and local database performance telemetry. What sets DBeaver apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, platform-specific database tools with a single, highly integrated workspace designed for absolute data predictability, robust data export schemas, and native cloud environments; by bridging the gap between low-level structural relational engines and immediate, front-end visual developer productivity, the enterprise remains a definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic database administration and global digital data transformation.
