Sana’s vision is to make healthcare easy. All of us can agree healthcare is simply too hard in the US. Our members feel the pain daily, and we aim to create an experience that feels effortless when accessing healthcare. If you need something, you should know where to go for care with minimal clicks.

We believe in making healthcare accessible and affordable for small and medium businesses. Our team, built from top talent in health insurance and tech, creates modern, engaging plans that allow customers to offer competitive benefits while paying 20% less than traditional plans.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, service-minded contractor to support our Network Operations team for a 3-month engagement. You will:

What you will do:

  • Maintain provider roster and demographic data. Enter and update provider rosters, additions, terms, and demographic changes (addresses, TINs, NPIs, specialties) in our internal systems and partner databases, and QA your work for accuracy.

  • Process new requests from providers who want to join the Sana Network, collect required documentation (W-9s, provider rosters, credentialing information), prepare agreements from standard contract templates, and transfer the correct information to our internal and external databases.

  • Flag recurring issues and suggest ways to improve our provider contracting workflows and technology.

  • Help audit and maintain provider-facing materials, internal resources, and contract templates.

  • Track contract status and documentation so agreements are complete, signed, and easy to find.

About you:

  • Have 1–2+ years of experience in an administrative, data entry, customer service, or provider relations role.

  • Healthcare experience is preferred (provider office, credentialing, provider enrollment, managed care, insurance, etc.).

  • Familiarity with provider data (NPI, TIN, taxonomy) and basic payer contract terms is a plus.

  • Excellent communicator.

  • Values-oriented. You care deeply about making our healthcare system work better for people and business owners.

  • Expert multi-tasker. You are able to handle periods of high-volume in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Flexible. You have a desire and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Accurate with data. You catch errors, double-check your work, and are comfortable with repetitive, high-volume entry.

  • Fast learner. Self-directed. You can get up to speed quickly and work through a queue with minimal oversight once trained.

  • Gritty. You aren’t worried about getting your hands dirty and working hard when needed.

  • Comfortable with change. We are a startup and need people who are okay doing things outside of their traditional job description.

  • Comfortable with modern web applications. Proficient in Google Sheets or Excel.

Additional Details:

  • Length: 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on business need.

  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, available during normal business hours (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones all accepted).

  • Location: Fully remote (U.S.-based).

  • Engagement type: This is a contract role and is not eligible for Sana employee benefits.

Sana Benefits is a premier, enterprise-grade health-insurance and benefit-management platform engineered to orchestrate massive-scale SMB healthcare ecosystems and intelligent frictionless insurance-funding workflows. Operating as a highly integrated, vertically-integrated "level-funded" insurance hub, the company eliminates the operational friction of traditional, bloated fully-insured models—which often burden small and midsize businesses (SMBs) with unpredictable costs and hidden fees—by seamlessly deploying advanced primary-care telemetry (Sana Care), rigorous cost-transparency architectures, and cohesive omnichannel care-navigation frameworks. Moving beyond rigid legacy carrier paradigms, Sana empowers growing teams to dynamically synchronize their benefits-administration, employee-enrollment, and claims-management pipelines with elite autonomous execution. Under the hood, their sophisticated proprietary data infrastructure natively manages complex provider-network ingestion (1.2M+ providers), instantaneous $0-cost virtual-primary-care routing, and automated level-funded financial-management cycles, enabling businesses to budget with confidence while driving down systemic healthcare spending. What sets Sana apart is its uncompromising dedication to frictionless healthcare orchestration; by bridging the gap between highly complex, volatility-prone insurance landscapes and accessible, human-centric wellness experiences, the platform empowers SMB employers to radically accelerate their benefits-offering velocity, eliminate administrative and billing-process bottlenecks, and build an unassailable foundation for continuous employee retention and operational dominance in the modern, hybrid-workforce healthcare landscape.
