OVERVIEW

Lifeforce is hiring a Clinical Quality Assurance Lead to manage the clinical QA program. You'll oversee audits of telehealth visits and chart notes, maintain reviewer calibration, and generate scorecards, reporting, and recommendations for clinical leadership. The program operates on Rippit (formerly MaestroQA), where you'll own platform setup, workflows, dashboards, and reporting. A key focus is automating tasks like sampling, screening, flagging, and reporting to optimize reviewer time for high-judgment reviews.

Initially, this is an individual contributor role, but the team will grow. You'll collaborate closely with the Medical Director, clinical leadership, operations, and the Clinical Onboarding & Training team. The network includes 50+ physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants across multiple states.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

QA Program Management

  • Own the clinical QA program for all Lifeforce clinicians (physicians, NPs, and PAs), including review cadence, sampling, workflows, and documentation.

  • Audit telehealth visits and chart notes against the Lifeforce Clinical Evaluation Form and clinical SOPs.

  • Produce monthly QA scorecards for every clinician, with quarterly and annual roll-ups, and trigger targeted reviews based on complaints, missed standards, or safety concerns.

  • Escalate patient safety concerns (e.g., inappropriate recommendations, documentation errors) to clinical leadership immediately.

  • Support ad hoc reporting and insights related to clinical QA.

Rippit Ownership, Reporting & Insights

  • Administer Rippit (formerly MaestroQA): scorecards, rubrics, workflows, integrations, and user access.

  • Build and maintain QA reporting by clinician, visit type, membership type, and evaluation domain.

  • Provide team leaders and clinical leadership with data-driven insights for performance conversations.

  • Identify trends in QA results and recommend improvements to the Medical Director and clinical leadership.

  • Ensure Rippit remains the system of record for all clinical QA data.

Automation

  • Identify and implement automation (e.g., AI-assisted screening, risk-based sampling, automated flagging, reporting) to reduce reviewer workload.

  • Validate automated outputs against human review and continuously improve accuracy.

  • Protect reviewer time for high-judgment reviews.

Standards & Calibration

  • Maintain the Clinical Evaluation Form and align it with clinical SOPs; set scoring benchmarks.

  • Write scoring anchors for evaluation criteria to ensure consistent reviewer interpretation.

  • Build and maintain a calibration library of recorded visits and sample charts. Calibrate reviewers before live reviews and conduct ongoing sessions.

New Clinician Quality

  • Lead QA for newly onboarded clinicians, from mock appointments to early visit and chart reviews.

  • Determine when each new clinician is ready for the standard monthly scorecard cycle.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Onboarding & Training team to update training and curriculum based on QA findings.

  • Flag gaps in clinical SOPs (e.g., lipid management, cardiovascular imaging, peptide/hormone therapy) and recommend updates.

  • Evaluate clinicians against standards in their independent contractor agreements.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

First 90 Days: Master Rippit, audit current setup, build calibration set, score baseline, write anchors for judgment-call items, take over new-clinician QA reviews, and run the first monthly scorecard cycle as a dry run.

First Year: Ensure all clinicians have monthly scorecards on schedule, with quarterly/annual roll-ups used in performance conversations. Achieve consistent scores across reviewers, automate a meaningful share of review volume (validated against human review), drive SOP/training updates via QA reporting, and justify additional reviewers based on data.
