Chief Strategy Officer

Our executive search firm is recruiting a Chief Strategy Officer on behalf of a destination management and guided experiences company. This executive will shape enterprise strategy, evaluate new opportunities, and guide expansion across destinations, services, and customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organization’s long-term strategic plan.
• Evaluate new destinations, partnerships, acquisitions, and service offerings.
• Conduct market, competitor, traveler, and destination analyses to guide investment decisions.
• Translate strategic priorities into defined initiatives, milestones, and performance measures.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving operations, sales, technology, and guest experience.
• Assess the commercial and operational feasibility of new growth opportunities.
• Support leadership in portfolio planning, organizational design, and resource allocation.
• Prepare strategic recommendations for executive leadership, ownership, and board review.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, consulting, or executive leadership.

Relevant experience within destination management, attractions, guided travel, hospitality, or experience-based services.

Demonstrated success developing and implementing growth strategies.

Strong financial modeling, market analysis, and business case development capabilities.

Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple functions and geographic markets.

Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, tourism, or a related field required.

MBA or comparable advanced degree preferred.

Willingness to travel as required for destination assessments and strategic meetings.
