Capital Raising Specialist (BTC-Denominated Fund) at RootstockLabs

RootstockLabs is seeking a hunter to help raise capital for an institutional-grade, BTC denominated fund built from the ground up. This fund provides regulated vehicles for institutional and private Bitcoin holders to unlock yield and manage credit risk across mixed strategies, bridging traditional institutional demand with Bitcoin-native yield generation.

You will own the capital-raising process end-to-end: sourcing institutional allocators, carrying each opportunity from first contact through to a signed subscription or facility, and closing it yourself. There is no existing book to inherit.

You will collaborate closely with the VP of Sales, the fund management team, and teams in risk, legal, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Raising

• Build and own a qualified pipeline of allocators across Layer 1 foundations and treasuries, ecosystem funds, family offices, miners, and high-net-worth Bitcoin holders, sourced through your own network and disciplined outbound efforts rather than inbound.
• Run the full raise cycle: prospecting, first meetings, needs discovery, mandate and suitability assessment, terms negotiation, and closing through to signed subscriptions.
• Work with the Fund Management team on share class terms and side letters tailored to each allocator, ensuring proposals are credible and deliverable.

Market and Operations

• Represent the fund at industry events and institutional networks, feeding allocator demand back into fund strategy and product development.
• Maintain the CRM and pipeline tracker current, contribute to weekly pipeline reviews, and adhere strictly to marketing, solicitation, and AML/KYC rules.

What You Bring

• At least 2 years in digital asset or regulated investment sales, ideally raising for funds or selling yield and lending strategies. Less experience may be considered from comparable roles like digital asset lending or yield platforms.
• A demonstrable client book: you’ve owned the sales cycle and know the clients, ideally raising $15 million or more.
• A strong, active network of Bitcoin holders and allocators (miners, DATCOs, Layer 1 foundations, family offices, high-net-worth individuals); a broader digital asset network is also valuable.
• Working fluency in Bitcoin, DeFi, BTC collateralized lending, collateral management, and fund structures, with the ability to engage in both commercial and technical conversations.
• A clear understanding of fund marketing, solicitation, and investor eligibility rules, and AML/KYC compliance.
• A self-starting, resilient, and collaborative temperament, with the discipline to maintain tight CRM and process standards in an early-stage business.

Nice to Have

• Experience in capital raising from traditional finance.
• Experience raising for a regulated fund, ideally a Cayman SPC or similar structure.
• A record selling yield or lending products into other digital assets (e.g., Ethereum or XRP), with a transferable client base.
• Exposure to hashrate or miner finance, structured or private credit, tokenization, or real-world assets.
• Experience as the first or an early commercial hire in a scaling business.
• Familiarity with Rootstock, Bitcoin L2s, or merged mining.
