What you will do in the Business Operations Associate role:

  • Support finance:

    • Support the monthly close of financials by tracking down various items across the company

    • Support accounts receivable and payable: track outstanding invoices, support the team to get them paid, and field status questions on accounts payable

    • Own our company credit card spend audits, follow up on missing receipts, manage card provisioning, and process expense reimbursements

    • Support the tax and audit process by gathering materials across the company

  • Support revenue operations:

    • Support the creation of annual compensation plans across the company

    • Help to calculate and schedule monthly commissions (including for resellers)

    • Support the Sales team by helping with vendor questionnaires, owning some customer payment portals, and providing credit card payment links

    • Support the creation of RevOps materials for the Board

  • Support operations:

    • Maintain company insurance coverage and field certificate of insurance (COI) requests

    • Support our security compliance efforts and IT hardware needs

    • Keep a current, organized, and comprehensive list of vendors (and their corresponding materials)

    • Support various ad-hoc investor requests and fundraise efforts

    • Support the People Operations function as needed

Characteristics we are looking for in a candidate include (need to have):

  • 2-4 years of experience in business operations, finance, or a cross-functional support role, ideally at a startup or in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • A track record of successfully juggling many concurrent priorities across different areas

  • Highly reliable, organized, and proactive; you follow through and communicate clearly

  • A fast learner who picks up new tools and processes quickly and genuinely enjoys helping teammates

Characteristics we are looking for in a candidate include (nice to have):

  • Strong experience with Excel and Google Sheets

  • Hands-on experience with various online tools (e.g., credit card, HR, and CRM platforms)

  • Experience supporting commissions, accounts receivable, or vendor management

  • Comfort using AI tools to automate repetitive workflows

  • Exposure to security compliance efforts
