The role in a nutshell
We’re looking for a Brand Designer to bring the Chainguard brand to life across every channel. This role combines hands-on design and motion work with an eye for consistency, precision, and quality. You’ll collaborate with marketing, events, and content teams to design, animate, and deliver assets that make our brand shine — whether that’s for social media, out-of-home campaigns, presentations, or large-scale events.
What you’ll do
- Design production: Design creative assets for digital and print, including social posts, presentation decks, launch assets, and event branding.
- Brand consistency: Ensure all creative output aligns with the Chainguard brand system and visual standards.
- Event and campaign support: Produce assets for conferences, booths, and digital campaigns, from signage to swag.
- Motion and animation: Develop short-form motion graphics and animations for marketing campaigns, product demos, and social content.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with campaigns, content, and product marketing teams to execute creative deliverables efficiently and on deadline.
- File management and handoff: Deliver final assets in proper formats and maintain organized, accessible design files for future use.
- Quality assurance: Review creative deliverables to ensure accuracy, alignment, and design integrity across all platforms.
What we’re looking for
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, or production design, with motion design experience (in-house preferred).
- A strong sense of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative, proactive, and receptive to feedback.
- Ability to turn complex technical ideas into clear, compelling creative work.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), and motion tools (Jitter, After Effects, Capsule).
- You have a portfolio of outstanding work that highlights your strong design and motion skills across formats and channels, with attention to detail.
- Bonus points for experience with developer-first or security brands.
