Role Overview
The Audio / Video Editor will be responsible for editing, producing, and repurposing long-form and short-form multimedia content across multiple client accounts. The Audio / Video Editor will collaborate closely with content creators, social media managers, designers, and marketing teams to transform podcasts, YouTube videos, and other long-form assets into engaging content optimized for digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling through video, thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, and is passionate about producing high-quality multimedia content.
Key Responsibilities
Podcast & Long-Form Content Editing
- Edit podcast episodes for both audio and video distribution.
- Edit long-form YouTube videos while maintaining quality, pacing, and audience engagement.
- Improve audio quality through cleanup, leveling, and sound optimization.
- Ensure all content aligns with client branding and marketing objectives.
Short-Form Content Creation
- Create YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn clips, Instagram Reels, and other platform-specific short-form content.
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple engaging assets for cross-platform distribution.
- Add captions, graphics, transitions, branding elements, and visual enhancements.
- Identify and extract high-impact moments that maximize audience engagement.
Content Production & Workflow Management
- Organize and maintain content libraries, project files, and production assets.
- Manage multiple client accounts and production schedules simultaneously.
- Deliver high-quality content accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate with designers, social media managers, and content strategists throughout production.
Creative Innovation & Technology
- Stay current with editing trends, platform best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Utilize AI-powered editing and content repurposing tools to improve efficiency.
- Recommend workflow improvements that increase production quality and scalability.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve creative output and production processes.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in audio and video editing.
- Experience editing podcasts and YouTube content.
- Experience creating both long-form and short-form content.
- Experience supporting multiple client accounts or brands simultaneously.
- Agency experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and content optimization.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality production.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, Descript, Riverside, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects (preferred), and AI-powered editing and content repurposing tools.
