About Included Health: Included Health is a new kind of healthcare company, raising the standard of healthcare for everyone by delivering completely integrated virtual care and navigation solutions. We break down historical barriers to provide high-quality care for every person in every community—no matter where they are in their health journey or what type of care they need. From acute to chronic, behavioral to physical, we offer our members unified care guidance, advocacy, and access to personalized virtual and in-person networks for everyday primary care, mental health, and complex specialties.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and technology-forward Associate Clinical Director, Integrated Care Quality (NP/MD) to lead our clinical strategy, external representation, and quality governance frameworks under a permanent, full-time remote footprint in the United States. In this high-leverage clinical leadership seat, you will hold absolute technical accountability for ensuring our remote clinical services perform credibly in high-stakes client, consultant, and external audit-facing environments. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated administrative transcription logs, general customer support tickets, or direct patient charting shifts, you will operate an active cross-functional quality strategy, longitudinal risk triage, and AI-driven quality surveillance laboratory. Partnering directly beside internal product managers, analytics teams, and commercial leads, you will modernize and scale quality operations over member healthcare journeys. This position requires a licensed clinician (MD or NP) with 7+ years of clinical operations or patient safety history who structures care pipelines fluidly natively using AI Engineer, Project Management, and Research primitives, commands complete operational intimacy with healthcare oversight frameworks, and designs scalable digital validation workflows independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Quality Strategy Governance: Architect, oversee, and mature our nationwide longitudinal clinical quality approach, ensuring service reliability and uncompromised credibility across all integrated care offerings natively utilizing AI Engineer concepts to scale surveillance.
  • AI-Enabled Quality Instrumentation: Partner close-knit next to product and engineering leaders to responsibly deploy agentic AI tools and advanced analytics for pattern detection, documentation reviews, and review prioritization across clinical workflows.
  • Client Audit and Regulatory Triage: Own the complete strategy and operating model for clinical client audit readiness, acting as the senior lead for audit preparation, risk triage, file review standards, and remediation action plans.
  • External Enterprise Representation: Serve as the premier clinical quality voice and authority in high-stakes discussions, corrective action boards, and executive forums with corporate clients, health plan sponsors, and consultants natively deploying Project Management frameworks.
  • Population Health Oversight Control: Establish and govern a data-driven metric framework spanning clinical care quality, operational performance standards, and member healthcare outcomes, driving strict program accountability loops.
  • Longitudinal Risk Identification: Build proactive surveillance models that isolate systemic performance gaps across separate service lines before they escalate into client dissatisfaction or regulatory discrepancies natively leveraging Research methodologies.
  • Executive Narrative Customization: Translate highly complex clinical incidents and convoluted data parameters into crystalline, executive-ready narrative briefings for both internal and external boards.
  • Cross-Functional Peer Leadership: Collaborate with distributed analytics and commercial teams to influence coaching programs, workflow redesigns, and policy refinements without relying on direct line authority.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be an actively licensed Physician (MD) with current Board Certification in good standing, or an advanced Nurse Practitioner (NP) holding a current unrestricted U.S. clinical license in good standing.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of successful professional experience operating with progressive responsibility inside clinical settings, healthcare quality frameworks, patient safety programs, or clinical operations management.
  • Expert External Engagement Command: At least 3+ years of dedicated experience leading or materially shaping client-facing clinical quality initiatives, managing health plan audits, or navigating high-stakes consultant forums.
  • Deep analytical literacy and systems-thinking strengths, with a proven ability to interpret intricate data patterns natively using advanced data tools (such as Looker, Tableau, or advanced spreadsheets).
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation communication capabilities in English, with a documented history tailoring abstract technical-clinical concepts cleanly for executives and commercial champions.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified clinical quality and healthcare strategy executives residing permanently within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior experience designing, deploying, or scaling automated audit tracking or quality surveillance frameworks natively utilizing agentic AI or machine learning models.
  • Direct operational alignment within population health platforms, large-scale care navigation models, or tech-enabled virtual care delivery networks.
  • Formal quality or performance training certifications, such as CPHQ, CPPS, or Lean Six Sigma frameworks.

What We Offer

  • Premium US Clinical Strategy & Executive Remuneration Matrix: A highly competitive annual target cash base salary package calibrated precisely to your clinical category and geographic zone (MD Candidates: $188,270 — $260,000 USD; NP Candidates: $118,640 — $167,580 USD), supplemented by standard performance bonuses, corporate equity allocations, and comprehensive executive perks.
  • 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy with home office equipment reimbursement provided to establish an uncompromised collaborative digital footprint anywhere in the United States.
  • Macro Healthcare Impact: Elite professional growth milestones achieved by single-handedly blueprinting the care quality safeguards and automated AI surveillance pipelines that elevate healthcare standards for millions of members.
  • Comprehensive family protection structures, including top-tier Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage choices, 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave, and $25,000 for surrogacy/adoption expenses.
  • Access to matching 401(k) plans through Fidelity, generous PTO plus discretionary time off (DTO), and an open, zero-ego engineering-driven care culture dedicated to solving the nation\ biggest health infrastructure challenges.
