The Problem
Our hardware footprint continues to expand across communities, driving increased demand for reliable physical builds that power our public safety technology. High-volume assembly and shipping operations require consistent execution to ensure field operations teams receive high-quality finished goods on schedule. As an Assembly Technician, you will own the daily assembly, quality auditing, and logistics workflows that keep critical solar hardware ready for deployment.
What You'll Own
- Assemble and build solar panels and critical hardware components according to technical guidelines and safety standards.
- Perform quality assurance audits and component testing on finished goods to ensure products meet exact quality standards before shipment.
- Prepare, package, and package finished products into boxes, crates, and cartons for afternoon distribution and internal logistics support.
- Scan, log, and maintain accurate records of inventory, parts, and completed builds within internal tracking systems.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, and occasional warehouse equipment safely to support receiving, material handling, and trash management.
- Maintain an organized, clean work environment while supporting cycle counts on critical assembly supplies.
What This Role is Not
- This isn't an assembly-line-only role; your day rotates between hands-on production, quality checking, inventory logging, and packaging tasks.
- This isn't a heavy machinery operation position; you'll use basic hand tools, power tools, and pallet jacks rather than heavy manufacturing equipment.
- This isn't a desk job; you will be on-site Monday through Friday actively handling hardware, lifting up to 40 lbs, and executing physical warehouse tasks.
What You Bring
- Prior experience in warehousing, material assembly, manufacturing, or a related production environment.
- Proficiency operating hand tools, power tools, and basic warehouse equipment like pallet jacks.
- Familiarity with computer software including Microsoft Word and Google Sheets, with Salesforce experience considered a plus.
- Strong physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to bend and lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
- High attention to detail with proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong quality-first mindset.
- Candidates from a wide range of backgrounds are considered; no specific degree or industry-specific background is required.

Flock Safety
View Company ProfileFlock Safety is a comprehensive public safety operating system and security hardware network designed to eliminate crime and build safer communities. The company is most widely recognized for its proprietary Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) cameras, which capture actionable vehicle data—such as license plates, vehicle make, type, color, and unique identifying features (like roof racks or bumper stickers). Under the hood, Flock Safety combines solar-powered, infrastructure-free hardware with an advanced, cloud-based machine learning platform. This software instantly cross-references captured vehicle data against state and national crime databases (like the FBI's NCIC), sending real-time alerts to local law enforcement when a stolen or wanted vehicle enters a monitored area. Their primary target audience spans a wide spectrum, including thousands of local police departments, Homeowners Associations (HOAs), property managers, school districts, and commercial businesses. What sets Flock Safety apart in the physical security space is its ethical, privacy-first approach to surveillance—data is strictly encrypted, automatically deleted after 30 days by default, does not use facial recognition, and is expressly not sold to third parties, striking a unique balance between proactive crime prevention and community privacy.
