We’re looking for a detail-oriented AP Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage vendor invoices and payments, review employee expenses, maintain accurate accounts payable records, and support the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
We are prioritizing candidates located in the US Pacific Time Zone and Central Time Zones at this time.
What you’ll be doing
- Process vendor invoices accurately and promptly using Zip and NetSuite.
- Process Credit Card transactions.
- Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, supporting documentation, and compliance with company policies.
- Manage employee expense reports in Expensify, ensuring receipts, approvals, and expense coding are complete and accurate.
- Assist with AP accruals and other month-end reconciliations.
- Prepare and process vendor payments, including ACH and wire transfers.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including payment terms, tax information, and banking details.
- Research and resolve invoice, payment, and expense-report issues.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Prepare and file Forms 1099.
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls, and efficiency.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and support analytical project.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and vendor information.
- Use AI and automation tools to improve accounts payable processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of one year of accounting or accounts payable experience.
- Strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking capability
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- You are self-motivated, deadline-driven and results-oriented, a problem solver with a can-do attitude with strong teamwork skills and strong desire to drive changes
Bonus points if you
- Have experience with NetSuite and Expensify
