Accountabilities:

The Account Executive, Brand Licensing will lead licensing strategy and execution, managing client partnerships, driving revenue opportunities, and ensuring long-term account growth. This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to translate brand assets and intellectual property into successful commercial partnerships.

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new licensing and media partnership opportunities to support business growth.
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships while building trusted partnerships with brands and organizations.
  • Guide clients through strategic partnership opportunities, recommending solutions that increase awareness, engagement, and revenue.
  • Develop and execute business plans aligned with quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Negotiate new and existing licensing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of licensing, media, technology, and consumer industry trends.
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, media, affiliate, and commercial teams to deliver effective partnership programs.
  • Lead internal and external strategy meetings focused on client goals, performance metrics, and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and account performance reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, new offerings, and enhanced client value.
  • Support continued growth by bringing market insights and innovative ideas to partnership strategies.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has proven experience in licensing, business development, and consultative sales, with the ability to manage complex client relationships and drive measurable commercial results. They should combine strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of brand partnerships.

  • 5+ years of experience in product licensing, brand licensing, business development, or related partnership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the licensing and media industries, including current market trends and partnership models.
  • Demonstrated success identifying growth opportunities, developing new business, and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing licensing programs for consumer or business products.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to build trusted client relationships and act as a strategic advisor.
  • Collaborative, emotionally intelligent mindset with strong cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
